∎ Minimum 3 years of working experience in development organizations as a frontline position like Field Facilitator/Community Mobilizer etc.
∎ Preference will be given for disaster management and livelihoods related experience in Satkhira (Shyamnagar/Asasuni).
∎ Experience in asset-based livelihoods development for vulnerable households.
∎ Preference will be given to candidates with experience in climate smart agriculture, disaster risk reduction, natural resources management, market development approaches, etc.
∎ Experience working within the NGO context at community level.
∎ Core Competencies
∎ Team player with excellent interpersonal professional relation development skill, problem solving skills, cooperation mentality.
∎ Good understanding on gender equity and inclusion
∎ Written communication skills in local language, English and Bangla;
∎ Communication skill with the stakeholder specially beneficiaries and entrepreneurs

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Select the target beneficiaries following the selection criteria and beneficiary registration online.
∎ Online data collection, service entry and
∎ Group formation, group leader selection, regular mobilization of beneficiary groups.
∎ Input distribution among the selected beneficiary groups.
∎ Regular follow up the beneficiary groups for homestead agricultural, aquaculture and livestock activities/demonstrations and provide technical assistance.
∎ Data collection and entry for several studies or survey.
∎ Assist in arranging inception meetings at union and upazila level to orient the project activities.
∎ Assist in need assessment specially livelihoods related needs at the field level.
∎ Assist in distribution of the income generating and livelihoods related asset transfer to the target households and monitor the achievements.
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday with 40 hours per week. This position may require working beyond office hours to attend meetings & other priorities at community level.
∎ As this position is based in the union level of project operation area, 100% of the time will be spent on field/community.
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor from time to time.
∎ Follow the different policy of Cordaid such as HR policy, Financial Management Policy, Code of Conduct, Integrity, Sexual harassment policy, etc.
∎ Job context: Cordaid is a leading INGO working for securing sustainable livelihoods, justice and dignity for all in Bangladesh since 1972. Most of the implemented interventions are focusing on Food and Nutrition Security, Climate Smart Agriculture, Disaster Risk Reduction, WASH and Humanitarian Assistance in the Geographical areas where the people are at risk of vulnerability and poverty specifically northern, south west part of Bangladesh including Cox’s Bazar. Cordaid will implement the livelihoods (off farm, on farm), Climate Smart Agriculture, Aquaculture, Fisheries and Weather Information services related interventions in Satkhira district under the Sundarbans ECA areas.
∎ The UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) has selected a CARE Bangladesh led consortium to implement the project titled ‘Nature Based Adaptation towards Prosperous and Adept Lives & Livelihoods in Bangladesh (NABAPALLAB)’ in two Ecologically Critical Areas (ECA) – Sundarbans and Hakaluki Haor. The other consortium members are CNRS, Cordaid, C3ER-BRAC University, Dushtha Shasthya Kendra (DSK), Friendship, Humanity&Inclusion (HI), iDE, and Practical Action.
∎ FCDO’s NABAPALLAB aims to engage biodiversity and natural resource-dependent communities to strengthen the climate resilience of the ECAs, conserve biodiversity, and at the same time, diversify and improve people's livelihood through innovative nature-based (NBS) and locally led adaptation solutions in the districts of Bagerhat, Satkhira and Khulna in the Sundarbans ECA, and Maulvibazar and Sylhet in Hakaluki Haor.
∎ The Community Supervisor will report to the Project Officer of Cordaid NABAPALLAB Project. The overall responsibilities to mobilize the target communities & beneficiaries and implement the project activities at community level.
