Job Context:
∎ Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, and prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is implementing a project named `Sports for Protection, Resilience and Transformation (SPiRIT) Project` at Dhaka. The project is implemented by the support of `Tdh Foundation`. BTS is going to recruit a `Community Social Worker (CSW)` for the mentioned project and the position`s desk office at Dhaka field office.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Form groups of adolescents and youth in the working area and mobilize to achieve project objectives
∎ Support adolescent and youth groups to organize different sports events so that they can be protected
∎ Organize monthly meetings with target groups as per action plan
∎ Identify and closely work with youth champions and change makers to take community actions
∎ Assist to conduct regular sports sessions and organize annual and other special day tournaments
∎ Collect data from working area for the needs of the project, assist in different study and survey work
∎ Assist to organize youth-led sessions on life skills and leadership development, adverse impact of climate change and prevention of unsafe migration and displacement
∎ Provide support in the development of physical and mental health of adolescent and youths with special needs by prioritizing and participating in sports
∎ Form different committees at the local level to promote participation of youth in sports for protection initiatives
∎ Assist to collect information and reporting

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 35 years
∎ At least 2 years of experience in development sector.
∎ Have working experience with child protection sectors.
∎ Work experience with adolescent and youth, and community development at displaced community will give priority in selection process
∎ Willing to stay at working such as hard-to-reach area
∎ 3 (Three) months' probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till project's lifetime.

Salary:
∎ Gross : Taka 20,000/=

Compensation & Other Benefits:
∎ 2 days weekend
∎ Office time, Annual Leave, Increment & other facilities will be applicable as per 'Recruitment and Human Resource Management Policy' of Breaking the Silence.
