Responsibilities & Context:

Volunteer Mobilization & Coordination - 50%

  • Prepare monthly Volunteer engagement plan based on production and approved CBT plan.

  • Mobilize Rohingya volunteers as per daily and weekly work plans of the Rice Fortification Plant.

  • Maintain close liaison with volunteer leaders (Majhi/Block).

  • Ensure availability of required number of volunteers at the plant premises.

  • Support rotation, replacement, and standby arrangements of volunteers.

  • Coordination with staff and Project Officer/Plant Manager.

  • Act as a communication bridge between plant management and volunteers.

  • Support implementation of daily production or fortification support plans.

  • Assist during inspections, donor visits, or monitoring missions.

  • Support smooth workflow during peak production days.

  • Orient volunteers on basic plant safety, hygiene, and movement restrictions.

  • Ensure plant security coordination with line management and share any related incident.

  • Ensure use of PPE (where applicable) and compliance with safety instructions

On-site Supervision & Capacity development-25%

  • Conduct daily morning session/assembly on work, safety-security etc.

  • Monitor daily attendance, punctuality, and engagement of volunteers at the plant.

  • Maintain attendance sheets and volunteer engagement records.

  • Support supervisors in assigning tasks such as loading, unloading, cleaning, or packaging support.

  • Ensure volunteers remain within designated work areas.

  • Monitor adherence to humanitarian principles, PSEA and safeguarding policies.

Reporting & Documentation -15%

  • Ensure daily attendance on digital platform.

  • Prepare daily and weekly volunteer engagement reports.

  • Prepare cash base distribution master roll and ensure volunteers monthly payment.

  • Report challenges, absenteeism, and operational constraints and mobilize them.

  • Support data collection as required by the project team.

  • Immediately report any safety incidents, conflicts, or misconduct

Others -10%

  • Support in the procurement of materials like requisition, follow-up, etc.

  • Participate & involved with seasonal programs (Ramadan, Qurbani, Winterization, etc.) activities

  • Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the program's goals on safeguarding implementation.

  • Being a member of Islamic Relief as a child-friendly organization, it is the core responsibility and obligation of each staff member to understand and obey IR Child Protection & PSEA Policy and respond accordingly as and when required

  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor
