∎ Job Purpose: S/he will be responsible for all the Food Processing related community mobilisation activities within the project including; consistent liaison and coordination with the community volunteers for field work, building capacity of the community volunteers, community level meetings, supporting development and facilitation of trainings and sensitization sessions with targeted beneficiaries in making and selling of nutritious snacks in the camps. The CM will build capacity of beneficiaries to make and save money to sustain their small food processing businesses after the project ends.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Implementation: Support the MDO to conduct a rapid assessment on nutritious snacks market, demand and supply in the camp, and in beneficiary identification for the selected snack categories on this component.
∎ Lead in community mobilisation activities including facilitation of community level trainings for project beneficiaries and stakeholders identified
∎ Support community volunteers in undertaking their roles including training, home visits and extending support to beneficiaries on activities including; food processing, preservation and value addition and sale.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation: Supervise the volunteers' day to day project implementation according to a work plan and ensure good project performance and recommendation on any required modification.
∎ Build capacity and support volunteers to use the M&E tools provided for the project for data collection and reporting.
∎ Support the MEAL team in the complaints and response mechanisms systems, at community and household level.
∎ Reporting: Document weekly volunteers and project achievements, challenges and beneficiary and community leaders' suggestions and submit weekly reports to the Market Development Officer.
∎ Additional Roles: Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's HR policies, Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Emergency Director or the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 years' work experience in food processing businesses
∎ Experience in team management, capacity building and supervision
∎ Experience working in Rohingya Response or similar response
∎ Excellent organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is desirable
