∎ Eco-Social Development Organization (ESDO) started its journey in 1988 with a noble vision to stand in solidarity with the poor and marginalized. A community focused and people centered approach has been adapted by ESDO while consideration was given to the national policy and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its guiding principle. ESDO is one of the most dynamic organizations expanding its development interventions across 273 upazilas under 49 districts of Bangladesh covering over 8.46 million poor and vulnerable people.
∎ ESDO in partnership with Water Aid Bangladesh is going to implement the “COVID-19 Response Programme: Preventive measures through promoting critical hygiene behavior and digital surveillance in low- income settlements in Bangladesh”

Job Responsibilities:
∎ This position of Community Mobilizer is the part of field implementation and will be directly reportable to Community Development Officer (CDO). Project Manager will also monitor the activities of Community Mobilizer and will directly instruct along with Community Development Officers. This position is based at field level.
∎ Planning for community mobilization and achieving the results
∎ Identify the targeted households through Community Situation Analysis.
∎ Organize Community Situation Analysis (CSA) for baseline data collection and for planning.
∎ Assist community to prepare community action plans (CAP), wealth ranking and F-diagram
∎ Assist the community to identify the Local Entrepreneurs expecting to work as Change Agents in the community and for bringing results.
∎ Assist the community preparing WaSH Social Map, Wellbeing analysis, CAP (Community Action Plan).
∎ Conduct house to house visit.
∎ Organizing different awareness activities and campaigns relating to WaSH.
∎ Prepare monthly and quarterly plan of activities for achieving the target of water, sanitation and hygiene beneficiaries in the assigned area within the month and quarter. No deviation will be accepted.
∎ Facilitate relevant training and orientation sessions for the Local Entrepreneurs and other members in the community when required.
∎ Assist project management for conduction of WaSH inventory.
∎ Field activities and Coordination
∎ Coordinate with CDO and Project Engineer cum Monitoring Officer in identifying local mason, entrepreneurs for ensuring WaSH services to the community.
∎ Identify the households for ensuring water, sanitation facilities and thus ensuring counting of targeted beneficiaries of water and sanitation.
∎ S/he will be responsible for continuation of organizing different awareness building campaigns/meetings/discussion sessions in community/school/religious institutions and HH visit to promote behavior change and environmental sustainability.
∎ Assist and orient the community households regarding the community contribution and project subsidy.
∎ Coordinate with Project Engineer cum Monitoring Officer for organizing technical training at community.
∎ Coordinate with CDO and Project Engineer cum Monitoring Officer sending field data online.
∎ Keep coordination with project team for providing relevant support to the community like hardware installation, training and orientation etc.
∎ Assist CDO and project management for updating the project data and relevant reports
∎ Maintain registers for counting the beneficiaries separately for water, sanitation and hygiene.
∎ Ensure so that the counted beneficiaries are not double counted or any form of duplication.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 25 to 35 years
∎ Both males and females are allowed to apply
∎ 2-3 years experience in community mobilization work in line with WaSH.
∎ Should have clear understanding on Community Situation Analysis (CSA) process.
∎ Ensure community participation in planning and implementation of the project;
∎ Capacity building of the community and other stakeholders at project area in line with sustainability;
∎ Should familiar with community planning and preparing CAP using PRA/PLA tools
∎ Should have understanding on CATS and community involvement in WaSH activities
∎ Should have experience in community level training facilitation and communication
∎ Should have knowledge and capacity for organizing community level different awareness campaigns like folksong, day observation, workshops etc.
