Education:
∎ Completion of University (Bachelor) degree in related functional area (preferred).

Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 3 years’ experience in the development field specially in DRR Projects experience will be given preference.
∎ Basic knowledge on disaster management system at local level
∎ Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
∎ Experience in group formation, group meeting, courtyard session, community meeting and community mobilization
∎ Skill on session facilitation of CBO Meeting/Courtyard session on DRR Issues
∎ Capacity to build interpersonal relationship with CBOs/WDMC/UDMC and other NGOs
∎ Experience working within the NGO context at a field level
∎ Advanced user skill in MS- Excel, word and PowerPoint.
∎ Basic knowledge on disaster management system at local level
∎ Moderate in oral and written English and Bangla.
∎ Willingness to drive motorcycle in working area will get priority.
∎ Ability and willingness to work in team and take pressure.
∎ Commit to basic values of Cordaid and adhere to overall objectives of Cordaid Program.
∎ Strong interpersonal communication skills.
∎ Ability and willingness to work with people of different backgrounds.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Mobilize CBOs (Women Committee, youth groups and adolescent clubs) to create a culture of preparedness on Early Action at community level through meetings, training and workshops; Mobilizes community members for the implementation of project activities and their own development planning process through household Early Action Plan (EAP). Organized dissemination workshop at Union and community level; Select the beneficiaries to implement the small-scale FbF option; assist to develop the report of the project; Provides and distributes all project related logistical support and supplies
∎ Establish networking and promoting risk informed forecast based early action at local level; Maintains close relationships with local authorities (Union Parishad), other institutions, NGOs/INGOs and Govt. department/personnel;
∎ Organize training for the capacity building of DMCs, CBOs, SMCs and local stakeholders to develop risk informed early action plan at local level; resilience and awareness training. Prepares training material and tools when necessary. Supports and guides community groups and beneficiaries in project implementation and results delivery.
∎ Complies with the Code of Conduct and all other policies and procedures of the organization.
∎ Collects data for survey, monitoring and evaluation purposes on project implementation and results delivery. Collect success story and documented on the AA/EA based from field; Provides project activity reports.
∎ Any other duties assigned by the manager
∎ The position is based in Union level of Kalapara Upazila - Lalua Union at Patuakhali district
∎ Working days from Sunday to Thursday with 40 hours per week. This position may be required work some overtime hours to attend external meetings.
∎ From time to time local /day long travel may be required to reach different working and remote areas within the Patuakhali District
∎ Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor, or country office from time to time
∎ Yearly renewable the contract based on fund availability and performance
