Job Responsibilities:
∎ Carry out Cash for Work supervision, Monitoring and Documentation activities to promote social cohesion, livelihoods and DRR community participation and to provide opportunity for the Program team to understand learnings, achievements, challenges:
∎ Support IOM Social Cohesion unit in-coordination with Infrastructural Unit to identify Cash for Work beneficiaries in-consultation with local administration.
∎ Monitor IOM Cash for Work activities in the field to ensure proper implementation
∎ Support to carry out day to day monitoring of field activities related to Livelihoods, Disaster Risk Reduction, Community Safety and other Social Cohesion through field visits
∎ Collect and document Case Studies, Most Significant Changes, Success Stories, Lessons Learned, Visual stories.
∎ Support in other project assessments, surveys, and monitoring activities with target communities when required
∎ Identify challenges and gaps in project implementation through field visit and discussion with beneficiaries
∎ Support Monitoring & Evaluation Officer for data collection through field visit or remote data collection
∎ Carry out community mobilization activities to promote social cohesion, livelihoods, and disaster risk reduction community participation, and to provide opportunity for the community to understand and influence the key decisions in the projects from the initial stage until the completion of the projects:
∎ Participate in assessing the needs of different people for providing different supports within the programme according to set criteria and ensure inclusion of most EVIs (Elderly, Women, Children, Persons with Disability).
∎ Support program team to facilitate awareness raising meetings, organize training sessions, workshops, communication platforms, etc.
∎ Support the implementation of community-based and social cohesion activities including campaign and participating in FGDs, KIIS with other local stakeholders/ partners
∎ Foster an atmosphere of solidarity and unity within the beneficiaries; and adhere to the principals of 'Do No Harm' throughout the project implementation process.
∎ Strictly adhere to the IOM Standards of conducts.
∎ Perform such other duties as may assigned by the manager
Additional Requirements:
∎ Work experience with international/national humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization would be an added value
∎ Excellent communication, representative and interpersonal skills; culturally sensitive and ability to work in a diverse team setting.
∎ Works effectively in high-pressure, rapidly changing environments, ability to multitask, pays attention to details, meets deadlines, maintain accuracy in performing responsibilities.
∎ Strong coordination and liaison skills.
∎ Good working knowledge on MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Kobo/ ODK
∎ minimum two (2) years of experience on Monitoring, Documentation, Data Collection, Survey, FGD and KII. University degree in Social Science, Statistics, Development Studies, or any other related fields is an advantage
∎ Fluency in Bangla and English is required. Knowledge of local dialect (Chittagonian) will be an advantage.
Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 61,880.33.
