Job Context:

∎ Job Purpose: S/he will lead on household level implementation of home garden innovations and initiatives in the project - supporting preliminary household and beneficiary mapping, assigning of appropriate garden types to suit beneficiary physical ability and household location and space, volunteer and beneficiary training, input distribution, oversight of household level home garden establishment and appropriate farming practices adoption, support supervision and reporting, among others, as stipulated in the project design. The CM will build the capacity of volunteers to train and support lead farmers to cascade training at household level in the camps, and provide support supervision on a day-to-day basis as required per season.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Project Implementation: Support the PO on preliminary field assessment for household and beneficiary mapping and beneficiary selection for different innovative home garden types within the Rohingya Refugee camps, tailored to household space, locally available materials and abilities of the elderly, people with disabilities and other vulnerabilities; such as perma-gardens, vertical gardens, backyard gardens, etc.
∎ Train volunteers and support them to train beneficiaries on establishment of home gardens at household level and adoption of innovative agricultural practices
∎ Work with the Market Development CMs of this project for capacity building of gardening beneficiaries on basic financial literacy, savings and income generation culture for gardening activity sustainability and household self-reliance.
∎ Monitoring and Evaluation: Supervise the volunteers' day to day project implementation according to a work plan and ensure good project performance and recommendation on any required modification.
∎ Build capacity and support volunteers to use the M&E tools provided for the project for data collection and reporting.
∎ Support the MEAL team in the complaints and response mechanisms systems, at community and household level.
∎ Reporting: Document weekly volunteers and project achievements, challenges and beneficiary and community leaders' suggestions and submit weekly reports to the PO.
∎ Additional Roles: Promote and ensure compliance with the requirements of Concern's HR policies, Concern's Code of Conduct and its associated safeguarding policies and Core Humanitarian Standards of Accountability (CHS) to ensure maximum protection to programme beneficiaries, and to welcome feedback.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Country Director/Emergency Director or the line manager.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 1 years' work experience in poultry production
∎ Experience in team management, capacity building and supervision
∎ Experience working in Rohingya Response or similar response
∎ Excellent organisational, leadership and interpersonal skills
∎ Strong written and verbal communication skills in English is desirable
