Job Context:

∎ REPORTS TO: Home office project manager in coordination with partner organization
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Support the design of a survivor-informed community engagement strategy targeting survivors and prospective/returning migrants, which will assist in the development of a responsible recruitment platform to include pre-decision and pre-departure information, worker readiness trainings, grievance mechanisms, document storage and process tracking.
∎ Organize and facilitate community needs assessment to inform establishment of a digital responsible recruitment platform and worker awareness tools to be developed by partner organization
∎ Identify emerging issues related to safe migration in Bangladesh during activity planning and implementation
∎ Conduct community-based outreach activities, organize migrant forums in target community, and assist in dissemination of safe migration information
∎ Facilitate and encourage community participation in project activities
∎ In coordination with partner organizations, engage recruitment agencies for their input to and participation in the responsible recruitment platform.
∎ Support partner organization in field-testing digital platform, including worker awareness tools in target community
∎ Monitor local partners' implementation of project activities in accordance with subaward provisions and partners' scopes of work
∎ Assist partner organizations with collecting and verifying data from migrants about their experiences with our project interventions in coordination with Winrock home office M&E specialist.
∎ Facilitate community participation in end-of-project evaluation, including organization of focus group discussions and other forums
∎ Other duties as assigned
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least five years of professional experience in field coordination and management work implementing interventions in anti-human trafficking and labor migration, child protection, human rights, public awareness, local governance, community mobilization, education, or another related field
∎ Experience with migrant workers and/or trafficking survivors
∎ Sound knowledge of migration-related laws and policies
∎ Experience in community mobilization, resource mobilization, and collaboration and partnership with government, NGOs, private sector, and civil society groups
∎ Experience in information gathering/validation and community-based data collection according to project-specific monitoring and evaluation guidelines
∎ Experience leveraging leading edge technology to support migration and to prevent human trafficking.
∎ Fluent Bengali and English language skills (oral and written) required
∎ Excellent community engagement/training skills
∎ Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities under pressure and attention to detail
∎ Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills, creative problem solving, conflict, and ethical management skills.
∎ Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software (Microsoft).
∎ Successful candidates will have strong and salient community mobilization experience. Specific experience and specialization in one of the following is highly preferred: migration and recruitment processes, human trafficking prevention, monitoring and evaluation of anti-trafficking activities, survivor-driven service delivery mechanisms.
