Community Mobiliser is responsible to implement all the Towards a Zero Waste St. Martin: Sustainable Solid Waste Management on St. Martin ECA Project interventions with the help of local volunteers at the field level as front-line staff of UDP; maintain strong communication and networking with the community and local stakeholders.
Job Description:
Implementation, manage, follow-up and monitor progress of project interventions at the field level as front-line staff
Assist in organizing meetings, training, workshops and different events at the field level according to annual targets
Provide support to the technical team in conducting research, developing knowledge products, monitoring and evaluation etc. other activities of the project
Assist team and act as key person in waste collection drive, managing the collaboration-hub, community and youth groups at city level.
Assist in field level implementation, and ensure smooth field delivery of the activities
Assist in conducting different special events, e.g., behavior change intervention, campaigns and other events
Support implementation of Marine Cleanup Programme with fisherman community.
Ensure proper collaboration with the Union Parishad, stakeholders, and community groups including waste workers, fishermen community, and youth groups.
Organize different meetings, trainings and workshops as per the engagement strategy and action plan in order to maximize government, stakeholder, and community engagement
Ensure collaboration and liaison with Mayor, Councilors, city/municipality authority for ensuring coordinated service delivery.
Ensure preparing periodic project reports as required by donor and programme management
SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme`s goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
