Job Context:
∎ Caritas Bangladesh (CB) is looking for suitable candidates (women only) for immediate appointment as well as to prepare panel list for Community-based Protection Project funded by CRS & Emergency Response Program for Refugees from Northern Rakhine State of Myanmar in Bangladesh.
∎ The selected candidates will be appointed on temporary basis initially for six months which may be extended for future period.
∎ Candidates from Ukhia/Teknaf/ Cox`s Bazar will be given preference.
∎ Job Location: Ukhia, Cox`s bazar
∎ The details of the positions including job responsibilities, educational qualification and other qualities/competency required for the above positions are given below for your information:
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Supervise a team of volunteers residing in the Rohingya Camp.
∎ Issue the daily and weekly plans for volunteers
∎ Ensure quality of household visits (confidentiality, listening, information sharing, referral)
∎ Provide direct support to Barefoot Counsellors and Community Facilitators on the activities in the field
∎ Ensure good communication, trust and team spirit in the team of volunteers
∎ Report on field level activities
∎ Provide coaching for volunteers' intervention, adequate advice and support for improvement
∎ Facilitate meetings and feedback sessions, identify their needs
∎ Support improvement of their skills and knowledge on general protection issues, Gender-based Violence and Child Protection.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Minimum 1 year experience in Women & Child Protection programming. Experience in working in emergency programs and especially in Rohingya camp strongly preferred.
∎ Age: Maximum 45 years (Age and academic qualification may be relaxed for the highly experienced candidates)
∎ Experience in social work, counseling and psychosocial support in challenging environment
∎ Ability to lead and train teams
∎ Excellent interpersonal, communication and training skills.
∎ Ability to motivate volunteers in a challenging environment
∎ Ability to problem solving and identify resources in the environment.
∎ Computer: MS Word, Internet, E-mails, Excel.
∎ Language: English and Bangla required. Speaking ability in Chittagong local dialect a plus.
Salary:
∎ 50,000 BDT (Consolidated) per month.
