∎ The Communications Officer is responsible for assisting WFP Bangladesh Country Office in achieving the goals set out in its Country Strategic Plan (2022-2026), which contributes to the Strategic Results of the WFP Strategic Plan (2022-2026) and Sustainable Development Goals 2 and 17 through four strategic outcomes.
∎ The Communications Officer will support the design and delivering of a range of communications and advocacy strategies and activities in support of CSP implementation, while contributing to partnerships building, resource mobilization, and enhanced brand recognition and reputation for WFP.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Under the overall guidance and direct supervision of the Head of Partnerships, Reports and Communications (PRC), the Communications Officer will be responsible for the following duties:
∎ Communications and advocacy strategy development and implementation
∎ Traditional and digital media engagement
∎ Content gathering and production
∎ Donor visibility generation and dissemination
∎ Cross-cutting support to programmes, partnerships and other WFP units/offices
∎ M&E
∎ Reputational risk mitigation
∎ Others

Additional Requirements:
∎ Overall Seven years or more of solid, responsible, and relevant work experience in communications-related fields where a minimum of four years of professional experience is required.
∎ LANGUAGE: Excellent written and oral/communications skills in both English and Bangla. Knowledge of Rohingya dialect an added advantage.
