Responsibilities & Context:
Food Preparation
- Assist in basic food preparation like chopping vegetables, cutting meats, and preparing ingredients.
- Follow recipes and instructions given by senior chefs.
Cooking Support
- Help in cooking under supervision of Chef de Partie or Sous Chef.
- Maintain consistency in food presentation and taste.
Kitchen Maintenance & Cleanliness
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and hygienic.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients (labeling, covering, refrigerating).
- Wash utensils, equipment, and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
Stock & Inventory
- Receive and check deliveries of food supplies.
- Monitor stock levels and report shortages to senior chefs.
Food Safety & Hygiene
- Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
