• Age At least 20 years

• Experience in a reputed bakery, hotel, restaurant, café, or food production environment will be preferred.

• Strong practical knowledge of pastry and bakery production.

• Good knowledge of cakes, pastries, desserts, decoration, and finishing.

• Good understanding of inventory, stock control, and wastage management.

• Good knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet production targets.

• Passionate about pastry and committed to maintaining high-quality products.

Navana Foods operates in the food industry and owns the Gloria Jean’s Coffees franchise in Bangladesh, along with its premium bakery brand, La Tarte Bakery & Pastry.

La Tarte is looking for a passionate Commis-1 – Pastry to support its pastry production team and maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and presentation.

• Prepare cakes, pastries, desserts, and other pastry items following standard recipes and SOPs.

• Ensure consistency in taste, quality, portion, finishing, and presentation.

• Perform cake decoration, frosting, glazing, and plating.

• Guide and support Commis-2 and Commis-3 team members.

• Maintain hygiene, sanitation, and food safety standards.

• Monitor ingredient usage, stock, FIFO, and wastage.

• Assist in daily production planning based on outlet demand.

• Properly operate bakery and pastry equipment such as ovens, mixers, and chillers.

• Assist the Demi Chef/CDP in ensuring smooth and efficient production.
