∎ Key Result #1: General
∎ Ensure safe and secured environment surrounding the health facilities in the camp, identify the health needs in the community, assess the satisfaction level towards our quality health care services of the beneficiaries and keep an effective communication with the community leadership;
∎ Identify the challenges to provide quality health care service delivery by the health team;
∎ Mobilize the community people with health seeking behavior along with our CHWs and promote hygiene and sanitation among the community people;
∎ Ensure all the staff are following and maintaining the UN code of conduct towards the beneficiaries;
∎ Disseminate information and updates on different clinical services to the respective community;
∎ Serve as the first person of contact with external visitors to the facility. These may include internal and foreigner visitors from within our organization, donors, Government of Bangladesh and other partners and organizations who may want to learn or share experiences in relation to our work within the facilities and camp;
∎ Support relevant inter-sectional meetings and disseminate information from Sector wide updates and camp level field coordination meetings that are pertinent to clinic staff and referral processes. These could include nutrition, SRH/GBV, WASH, IPC, Dead body Management, among others;
∎ Ensure overall cleanliness of the facility including all the department and within the boundary;
∎ Perform any other roles and responsibilities assigned by the supervisory hierarchy in relation to health service delivery.
∎ Key Result #2: Technical – Clinical Care
∎ Perform patient consultation, resuscitation and follow up in terms of quality health care service delivery;
∎ Provide support to other National Doctors and Nurses in delivering the clinical intervention;
∎ Manage patient flow and directs doctors to ensure the practice stays on time and conducts overall supervision of clinic flow, staff management, triage decisions, complicated referrals and management of acutely ill patients in collaboration with head provider, international expat doctors;
∎ Ensure instruments, equipment and accessories are in place and those are functioning, daily.
∎ Ensure proper clinical area appearance, sterilization (in concert with the nurse lead) and restocking by creating daily, weekly and monthly assistant tasks lists.
∎ Support management of all emergency patients and handles patient/parent treatment concerns.
∎ Ensure autoclaving of instruments in the morning at HF and be sure that a log book is maintained, on a daily basis;
∎ Ensure medical waste is disposed properly on a regular basis;
∎ Regularly updates clinical area procedures for better patient flow to reduce waiting time, among others;
∎ Serve as a facility referral focal point person in close collaboration with other partners;
∎ With the Expatriate staff, develop a system for training and cross training in all clinical procedures and systems and any identified training needs that may be identified both internally or externally through the different sectors and sub sectors;
∎ Direct training of staff and support the development of training materials as well as delegation/facilitation of trainings utilizing visiting expat volunteers;
∎ Coordinate staff, monitor patient flow, look for bottle necks, identify problems and find solutions;
∎ Assist with on-the-job training of health post staff and volunteers, following sector, national and international guidelines;
∎ Provide clinical assessments and care, as required, to beneficiaries.
∎ Key Result #3: Supervision and Management
∎ Prepare and implement clinic duty Rota;
∎ Analyze prescription, monitor medicine dispensing by the pharmacist;
∎ In consultation with the Pharmacists and Nurse Leads, support delegating as needed to assign duties and roles regarding stock room and dispensary management while ensuring proper documentation of consumption and updating of stock cards;
∎ Maintains an objective and somewhat neutral stance while handling conflicts between staff members and between the staff;
∎ Holds regular clinical staff meetings to keep staff informed of the goals of the practice and any changes in policy or procedures. Regularly solicits feedback on areas that need improvement;
∎ Supervise staff and volunteers working at the facility including monitoring attendance and timesheets, and reporting any problems;
∎ Support and ensure that periodic performance appraisals and other management reviews are carried out in a timely and efficient manner;
∎ Manage clinical staff members through proper praise and correction;
∎ Monitor treatment control each quarter by evaluating treatment records for adherence to protocols, antibiotic use, medicines consumption, among others;
∎ With HIS team and other staff working with patient records, ensure all necessary data tools are in place to ensure data capture is recorded and kept in a confidential manner;
∎ In consultation with the Field team and other staff assigned obtain patient feedback, ensures accuracy of feedback results and provide all staff with timely feedback on any area of deficiency and improvement;
∎ Ensure excellent teamwork and cooperation between the clinical staff and with field team staff through the Field Program Officers and or the Field coordinator;
∎ Enforce Standards and Professional Codes of Conduct and Ethics;
∎ Prepare and submit performance reports and any other reports requested by management.
∎ Key Result #4: Staff management, development, and security
∎ Models leadership to all staff, coaching and mentoring key direct reports;
∎ Ensures the proper orientation, training, development, and care of all FH field staff;
∎ Ensures appropriate duty of care provisions are in place for all staff and visitors, with particular attention paid to security concerns;
∎ Provide leadership and people management expertise in managing change initiatives.
∎ Key Result #5: Coordination and Representation
∎ Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities and other stakeholders/ partners;
∎ Attend and represent JRRP in camp coordination meetings and camp health sector meetings;
∎ Ensure staff of referral facilities are informed of all aspects of the program, including referral and counter-referral criteria and process;
∎ Maintain good relationship with CiC, Site Management and health sector focal points at facilities.
∎ Key Result #6: Logistics, Monitoring and Reporting
∎ Collect, review, and submit required daily and weekly reports and stock requests for approval to Medical Coordinator;
∎ Ensure sufficient buffer stocks of medical and non-medical supplies and other distribution items are available at the warehouse;
∎ Ensure daily medical, and non-medical supplies are appropriately stored at the health post;
∎ Supervise the monitoring of medical supply expiry dates to ensure medical supplies are utilized prior to their expiry;
∎ Ensure HIS supplies/tools are available in the facility.
