Talent Centric is seeking a visionary and highly qualified individual for a reputed multinational company.
Key Responsibilities
Commercial Management
Collaborate with regional and global teams to develop and drive strategic commercial initiatives for the terminal, including new products and services tailored to global and strategic customers.
Expand the portfolio of products and services offered by the organization.
Foster strong relationships with stakeholders such as shipping companies, BCOs, port authorities, and government agencies to ensure effective operations.
Define, develop, and execute local strategies for major functional departments, aligned with the company’s vision, business plan, and budget.
Ensure delivery of services in line with agreed SLAs and customer expectations.
Maintain productive relationships across departments and with internal/external customers to support organisational goals.
Serve as a key member of steering committees for new projects and initiatives, leading project management strategies and ensuring timely execution.
Operational Excellence & Continuous Improvement
Align operational strategies with regional operations and the GOE pillars:

Develop and implement operational policies, procedures, and standards in collaboration with regional offices.
Launch optimization programs to enhance performance and efficiency.
Deliver on KPIs as outlined in concession agreements and customer SLAs.
Monitor and analyze KPIs related to cost, productivity, and performance, identifying issues and driving corrective actions.
Conduct terminal capacity analyses to support strategic planning.
Lead digitalization and automation initiatives to future-proof operations.
Enhance service delivery, customer satisfaction, and stakeholder value.
Set measurable performance objectives for teams, ensuring accountability and professional development.
Plan terminal operations to meet customer needs efficiently and strengthen commercial positioning.
Ensure training in advanced operational strategies and technologies for all terminal staff.
Optimize deployment and utilization of both direct and third-party staff.
Oversee timely and quality execution of infrastructure improvement projects.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and procedures.
Promote safe working practices, aiming for zero fatalities and reduced injury rates (RIFR and LTIFR).
Conduct regular inspections and audits to maintain operational efficiency and policy adherence.
Support sustainability initiatives aligned with regional and global goals.
Technical Management
Request appropriate terminal handling and support equipment based on operational needs, subject to board approval.
Lead supplier and customer negotiations, finalize agreements, and ensure service level execution.
Oversee engineering activities to ensure cost-effective resource utilization and adherence to safety, quality, and productivity standards.
Set performance targets and KPIs for technical departments and staff.
Maintain a flexible and efficient engineering workforce with high standards of workmanship.
Ensure optimal maintenance and availability of container-handling equipment.
General Leadership
Build and lead high-performing operational teams.
Collaborate with stakeholders to implement strategic plans that reflect the organization’s mission, vision, and values.
Manage employee performance, including training, appraisals, discipline, and grievance handling.

Qualifications & Experience
Education
University degree preferred; diploma in shipping and cargo management or postgraduate qualification in logistics is advantageous.
Experience
Minimum 15 years in the global container terminal industry with a strong focus on business practices and process improvement.
Proven experience in terminal automation and various operational modes (SC/RS/RTG/RMG/AGV/ASC).
Demonstrated leadership in change management and strategic influence at executive levels.
