Educational Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ As a member of the Senior Leadership Team, work with the Country Director to drive vision and direction of FH Bangladesh Country Strategy.
∎ Manage, oversee, and maintain ultimate responsibility for the financial and administrative activity of JRRP program and any associated grant projects/ programs, and provide reports in accordance with FH procedures and standards.
∎ Coordinate activities for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting including drafting and reviewing quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports and managing donor- and organization-mandated evaluation processes.
∎ Develop the program's annual activity plan budget and ensure their timely performance.
∎ Ensure regular monitoring of activities and submit timely feedback to Country Director, FH Global Service Center (GSC) RHA and Grants team, FHB program partners, UNHCR and other relevant partners as required by the agreement.
∎ Establish and maintain consistent communication with local partners and government officials in the implementation of the project.
∎ Ensure that crosscutting themes such as gender and sustainability are fully integrated into programming.
∎ Give careful attention to all legal requirements affecting FH in the country, and promptly notify Country Director of any risk to, problem or change affecting FH operations.
∎ Model leadership consistent with FH's values to all staff and intentionally develop the leadership of key staff in the FH field by working closely with the senior leadership team, and coaching and mentoring direct reports.
∎ Provide leadership and people management expertise in managing change initiatives within country, bridging different ways of working and diverse working cultures within the teams.
∎ Responsible for the safety and security of all staff and FH representatives as well as security management: Ensuring that systems, policies, and procedures are properly developed and implemented in order to strengthen safety and security of all staff and FH resources.
∎ Routinely travel to the field for regular monitoring and to provide capacity support for extended periods of time as needed.
∎ Monitor the management of all financial and programmatic issues, (including commodities) and ensure timely, accountable, and appropriate reporting and transactions to ensure successful performance, taking corrective action as necessary.
∎ Coordinate regular programmatic and financial progress reviews and lead budget harmonization processes.
∎ Ensure quality donor reporting and provide final reports to FH GSC for submission to donor.
∎ Ensure proper procurement and warehouse management as per organizational standards.
∎ Ensure the program and all staff adhere to the FH Bangladesh security plan. This position must ensure that FH fulfills the Minimum Operational Safety and Security Standards, and FH's legal Duty of Care for all program staff.
∎ Serve as the primary liaison with UNHCR, RRRC, NGOP, ISCG, INGO and all local stakeholders. Maintain responsibility for appropriate communication and consultation.
∎ Actively engage in various coordination working groups and meetings.
∎ Organize learning and sharing opportunities between project and external stakeholders on a regular basis.
∎ Conduct the hiring, orientation, and training of key staff to build a strong, well supported, and motivated team.
∎ Identify opportunities for staff professional development and provide recommendations to the Human Resources department for implementation.
∎ Coordinate with Human Resources in the preparation of employee job descriptions, performance plans and performance appraisals.
∎ Work with line management to ensure team cohesiveness and collaboration within the organization.
∎ Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
∎ Other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 40 years
∎ Vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ, a Christian commitment to serving the poor and in full agreement with FH's Christian beliefs expressed in The Heartbeat.
∎ Excellent people skills including the ability to relate to and effectively communicate with people from different cultures (at various levels within the organization).
∎ High integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics.
∎ Able to self-manage a diverse and dynamic set of responsibilities, proactively solve problems and / or suggest viable solutions while advancing goals and objectives.
∎ Demonstrated computer-operating skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Google platform, and virtual technologies such as Skype and / or Zoom.
∎ Advanced level MS Excel and knowledge of the Sun Systems financial application.
∎ Excellent organizational skills and ability to plan and coordinate work, ensure the efficient flow of projects and processes.
∎ Strong people management skills / interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate, teach and mentor staff.
∎ Comfortable and persuasive when speaking before both large and small groups.
∎ Ability to interact positively with all levels of the organization and across organizational and cultural boundaries.
∎ Strong project management experience for complex integrated programming.
∎ Experience managing UN based projects.
∎ Experience leading consortia consisting of local and international non-governmental agencies.
∎ Strong knowledge of and experience working in arid lands preferred.
∎ Demonstrated knowledge and familiarity with latest USAID rules and regulations.
∎ Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style.
∎ Strong networking and representation skills.
∎ Strong written English skills as reports will be compiled in English.
∎ Related experience in managing grants from major donors such as USAID, DFID, UN, EU.
∎ Commitment to work with the poor as demonstrated by past positions.
∎ Medical fitness to live and travel in rural and urban areas with extreme conditions and limited medical support.
∎ Ability to travel up to 50% of time per year to project sites.
