Job Context:
∎ CCDB is a national NGO, working since 1973 for improving life and livelihood of poor and marginalized people. Currently CCDB has been working in 29 districts in Bangladesh. Major interventions of CCDB include poverty reduction, food security & livelihood, health, woman empowerment, climate change, peace promotion, emergency humanitarian program, value chain program, resettlement, etc. In addition, CCDB is also involved with different advocacy initiative through networking with other organizations in national/international level.
∎ The Chief of Audit Officer will conduct internal financial audits by understanding organization objectives, structure, policies, process, internal controls, and external regulations, identifying risk areas; preparing audit scope and objectives; preparing audit programs. In addition to that, this position will also review the project proposal and the plan of action and resource allocations as required for organization.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Review the project proposal and the plan of actions and resource allocations from the Head Office to the Area/Program/ Project Offices
∎ Review the monthly financial reports sent from the Area/Program/Project Offices and create a check list of the areas for intensive review.
∎ Planning and managing operation of the Internal Audit independently.
∎ Identity risk areas; preparing audit scope and observance.
∎ Review the previous audit report and list the recommendations and management letter from the Executive Director and the responses of the actions taken.
∎ Work out audit schedule and inform the respective Area/ Program/Project Managers, with a list of documents that will be reviewed and the period.
∎ During audit check the Stock Register and the sample check the store and stock balances and how these are stored and maintained.
∎ Review the Asset Register and check if these are in custody of the person to whom these are assigned.
∎ Supervise team performance and guide the team to operate in the highest effective manners.
∎ Randomly choose Forums Audited by the Area Office Accounts Officers/ Program Officers/ Community Organizers and visit these to check the consistency of the reports prepared and retention at the Forum Offices/ Custodians.
∎ Interact with the Members visited and record the benefits they derived from the inputs from the Forums and CCDB.
∎ Helping the staff members to make needed corrections in case there are any shortfalls in the documentation process.
∎ Prepare reports to support Finance and Resource management of the organization. Document the corrective actions taken during the audit and the actions that are being recommended for further actions.
∎ Organize special audits based on any information that indicates that there has been lack of accountability or good governance of CCDB resources that needs immediate re-audit and investigations
∎ Prepare special report on such events as directed by the Executive Director.
∎ Perform any other assignments given by the Executive Director.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at most 45 years
∎ Strong background and experience working of audit methodologies and technique
∎ Prior successful experience of conducting external or internal audits
∎ Excellent written and oral communication ability with different stakeholders
∎ Strong time management and organizational skill to lead the internal audit team
∎ Requires at least 25% of travel to project areas in every month
