Responsibilities & Context:

Position Overview

The Chief Executive Officer/Secretary is the highest executive and administrative authority of the Club. The position is responsible for overall management, administration, implementation of policies, coordination with members and stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with the constitution, by-laws, and applicable laws of Bangladesh. The role combines statutory secretarial functions with executive leadership and operational control.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Implement decisions and policies of the Executive Committee and General Body

Manage daily operations, administration, staff, and volunteers

Serve as Secretary to Executive Committee and General Meetings

Prepare agendas, minutes, resolutions, and official correspondence

Ensure compliance with constitution, by-laws, and legal requirements

Oversee membership records, communications, and member services

Assist in budgeting, financial monitoring, and audit coordination

Represent the organization before stakeholders and authorities

Support strategic planning, programs, and organizational development

Perform any other duties assigned by the Executive Committee consistent with the objectives of the Club

Authority & Accountability

Exercises executive authority delegated by the Executive Committee

Accountable to the Executive Committee and General Body

No policy-making authority unless specifically delegated

Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Management, or a related field

MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification will be preferred

Qualifications & Experience

10–15 years’ experience in senior administrative, managerial, or secretarial roles

Experience in member’s club, hospitality, leisure, luxury service, or lifestyle organization will be highly preferred

Retired officers from the Bangladesh Army, Air Force, or Navy will be given preference due to their relevant professional experience.

Strong knowledge of governance, administration, and organizational management

Key Skills & Competencies

Strong leadership, organizational management, and sound decision-making

Strategic thinking with ability to work independently under policy guidance

Excellent communication and negotiation skills in Bangla and English

Solid understanding of financial management and operational controls

Effective interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

High standards of integrity, confidentiality, professionalism, and ethical conduct
