Experience:
Strong knowledge of knit garments machinery, utilities, and plant maintenance systems
Expertise in engineering project management and energy optimization
Leadership ability with excellent decision-making and people management skills
Sound understanding of compliance, safety, and environmental requirements
Lead and manage all mechanical, electrical, and utility maintenance operations across the factory.
Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime.
Ensure optimal performance and longevity of production and utility machinery (boilers, generators, compressors, chillers, ETP/WTP, sub-stations, etc.).
Plan, design, and execute engineering projects such as new machine installation, utility expansion, and facility upgrades.
Ensure new projects meet technical, safety, and environmental standards.
Coordinate with procurement and vendors for sourcing and installation of new equipment.
Monitor and analyze energy consumption trends (power, gas, water, steam).
Implement cost-reduction and energy-saving initiatives without compromising quality or production efficiency.
Introduce automation and modern engineering solutions to improve productivity.
Ensure all machinery, utilities, and installations comply with local regulations, building codes, and environmental laws.
Maintain documentation for audits (RSC, Alliance/Accord, Buyer Technical Audits, Fire Safety, Environmental).
Promote safety culture and lead regular risk assessments, fire drills, and safety inspections.
Supervise and guide the engineering team, including Deputy Chief Engineer, engineers, and technicians.
Assess performance, provide technical training, and build a strong engineering culture.
Promote teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement within the department.
Prepare and manage the annual engineering and maintenance budget.
Maintain records of maintenance activities, downtime analysis, and energy reports.
Report to management on key performance indicators and improvement actions.
