Experience:
Bachelor`s degree in Special Education, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Social Work, or a related field (preferred).
Skills in developing training and providing coaching for capacity building.
Ability to develop information material .
Analytical skills.
Ability to work with partners, civil society organizations, or public authorities.
Knowledge of referral mechanisms .
Ability to respect deadlines and work under pressure.
Very positive personality, with strong orientation toward solutions.
Adaptability, flexibility.

Excellent interpersonal, networking, communication, negotiation, and facilitation skills.

Jugantar Samaj Unnayan Sangstha (JSUS) is going to implement “BD033 Strengthening Early Identification & Early Intervention for the Children with Disabilities Project” in Banshkhali Upazila under Chattogram District with the financial support of LiLiane fonds and Technical support of Centre for Disability in Development (CDD).
This project aims to improve the lives of children aged 0-12 with developmental delays and disabilities by strengthening the community-based system for early identification and early intervention. The organization is seeking a highly motivated and experienced a CBR Officer for smooth operation of the project.
Project Title: BD033 Strengthening Early Identification & Early Intervention for the Children with Disabilities
Technical and Fund Support : Liliane Fonds of Netherlands and CDD of Bangladesh
Responsibilities:
Conduct household level survey to identify children with disabilities at community level.
Promote early detection of disabilities and early intervention
Promote school mainstreaming and inclusion for children with disabilities
Conduct accessibility assessment at community school.
Undertake home visits to children with disabilities and also provide training to improve their skills and abilities to participate in the family and social life.
Provide social support to persons with disability and their families.
Identify and refer children with disabilities for early intervention and early intervention.
Do follow - up of children with disabilities referred for services and care.
Participate in the planning, effective organization and reporting of community outreaches.
Provide required support to children with disabilities in getting Disability Identity Card , Disability allowance , educational stipend ,
Collaborate with Persons with disabilities and caregiver, involve them in program activities.
Identity and refer person suspected with Ear Nose & Throat (ENT) , as well as mental Health (MH) problems to the appropriate health facilities.
Sensitize households and communities on basic hygiene and sanitation.
Arrange health camp at community level.
Follow up the implementation of the field day to day activities.
Field quality assurance.
Ensure participants/Stakeholders satisfaction of the training.
Supervise and follow up of the training workshops.
Preparing training plans and timetables for training programs in coordination with project manager.
Provide all training requirements.
Evaluation and analyzing the results of (pre and post- training courses).
