∎ Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline such as sociology, social work, community development or relevant discipline.
∎ Bachelor Degree in sociology, gender studies, social work, development studies or bachelor in discipline.
∎ Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Child Development, or related field.

∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Development Agency.
∎ Experience in child protection programming, particularly in humanitarian or emergency settings.
∎ Strong understanding of child protection principles, including the Minimum Standards for Child Protection in Humanitarian Action.
∎ Excellent community engagement and facilitation skills.
∎ Ability to work effectively in diverse cultural contexts and under challenging conditions.
∎ Strong reporting and documentation skills.
∎ Fluency in [insert relevant languages] is highly desirable.
∎ Good reporting and writing skills.
∎ Previous work experience with NGO/INGO is considered as an advantage.
∎ Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Facilitate the establishment and strengthening of community-based child protection mechanisms (e.g., child protection committees, adolescent groups, etc.).
∎ Conduct awareness-raising sessions on child rights, child protection risks, and prevention strategies.
∎ Support the identification and response to children at risk, including unaccompanied and separated children, survivors of violence, and those in exploitative situations.
∎ Implement structured psychosocial support activities for children, caregivers, and community members.
∎ Ensure case management support is provided following established protocols, including referrals to specialized services.
∎ Mobilize and build the capacity of community volunteers, leaders, and stakeholders to support child protection efforts.
∎ Deliver tailored training sessions on child safeguarding, positive parenting, and related themes.
∎ Engage with communities to identify harmful practices affecting children and collaborate to develop positive alternatives
∎ Maintain accurate records of activities, cases, and referrals in line with data protection policies.
∎ Regularly update program monitoring tools and contribute to periodic reports.
∎ Document best practices, success stories, and lessons learned for internal learning and advocacy purposes.
∎ Work closely with local authorities, schools, and humanitarian actors to strengthen child protection systems.
∎ Represent the organization in child protection working groups and other relevant forums.
∎ Advocate for improved services, policies, and resources for children’s well-being
∎ 3 years of relevant experience at the national or international and additional understanding of a crisis/conflict prevention and recovery approach.
∎ Having at least 3 years’ working experience in a development organization, particularly on Child Protection.
∎ Strongly sound experience and technical understanding on child protection and community-based child protection approaches in host and Rohingya community.
∎ Ability to work in a team, capable to work under pressure and be able to work in a sensitive manner.
∎ Working with trustworthiness and integrity and has a clear commitment to BITA and Plan International’s core values and humanitarian principles.
∎ Ability to work under extreme circumstances, including stress, high-security risks and harsh living conditions. Works and lives in a flexible, adaptable and resilient manner.
∎ Demonstrates awareness and sensitivity to gender and diversity
∎ Ability to develop child protection-based material development for the community.
∎ Strong IT skills, including Power Point & internet, etc.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members (in respect to Prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse - PSEA) from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation.
∎ Having experience of integrated programs on child protection and livelihood activities will be preferred.
∎ He/she will need maintain proper communication with government project government stakeholder including UNO, DSS, CiC and local stakeholders.
∎ Ability and experience working with community led approach and community mechanism.
∎ Excellent communication skills in English and local language
∎ Perform any other duty as assigned by the supervisor.
∎ Context:
∎ BITA (Bangladesh Institute of Theatre Arts) a non-governmental organization, has been administering development initiatives focusing human rights, cultural upliftment and poverty alleviation since 1994.
∎ The basis of development intervention in BITA is rights based approach. BITA has sequentially developed an empowerment process which starts its journey from building relationship with communities through communication, support them with raising of their awareness level, facilitating them in transforming their trust into internalization capacity to visualize self-development, make them confident to become actor from observer.
∎ BITA has been implementing Joining Forces for Food Security and Child Protection in Emergencies (JF-FS &CPiE) project at Ukhiya and Teknaf upazila and Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar district supported by Plan International Bangladesh, funded by the German Federal Foreign Office (GFFO). The expected outcome of the project is improved protection of girls, boy in vulnerable situations through access to life saving, quality, gender-sensitive, & inclusive child protection, Food Security, nutrition- sensitive interventions.
∎ Job Location: Ukhiyaupazila and Teknaf upazila and Rohingya camps in Cox’s Bazar District.
