Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Forecast fashion trends and colors, analyze trends, and plan for the season/project.
∎ Research regular product lines, analyze the market, follow global trends, and incorporate patterns and ideas into work.
∎ Manage and source fabric, trims, and accessories in collaboration with the team.
∎ Conduct weekly meetings with the team to distribute tasks among team members.
∎ Develop design concepts and create sketches or prototypes for new collections.
∎ Oversee the entire design process from conception to final styling.
∎ Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to ensure designs align with brand strategy and market demands.
∎ Ensure all designs meet quality standards and are produced within budget and timelines.
∎ Coordinate with production teams to ensure accurate translation of design specifications.
∎ Stay updated on industry developments and competitor activities to maintain a competitive edge.
∎ Mentor and provide guidance to junior designers and interns.
