Job Context:
∎ Project Name : `Strengthening Child Protection Systems in Cox`s Bazar District
∎ 3 (Three) months` probation period. After successful completion of the probation period, based on performance of the staff and recommendation from the supervisor, the post may be continued till project`s lifetime.
∎ Breaking the Silence is a non-profit, voluntary organization registered with the Department of Social Services (Registration No. 05037, Date: 17 September 2000) and NGOAB (Registration No. 1642, Date: 20 May 2001). The organization works to establish child rights, prevent child abuse and child sexual abuse, prevent child marriage, accelerate child-friendly good governance, improve the quality of education at the primary and pre-primary level, prevent violence against women, empowering children and women. The organization is going to implement a project named `Strengthening Child Protection Systems in Cox`s Bazar District` at Cox`s Bazar Sadar and Ukhiya Upazilla under Cox`s Bazar district. The project will be implemented by the support of `Save the Children in Bangladesh` and financed by `Foreign Affair Ministry of Japan`. BTS is going to recruit a `Case Management Coordinator cum Psycho-Social Counselor` for the mentioned projectand the position`s field base at Cox`s Bazar.
∎ Job Location Cox`s Bazar Sadar and Ukhiya Upazilla of Cox`s Bazar District.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Provide capacity building and technical support to Upazila Social Services office and their staff to roll out case management system according to government procedure of Case Management.
∎ Regular Communication and Coordination with Social Services office on case management purpose.
∎ Facilitate the case conference and case discussion based in the need and risk level.
∎ Support Union/Poura Social workers to maintain the documenting following the Minimum Standard.
∎ Closely work with Social Services office to support them in every steps of case management and emphasize on proper implementation of the care plan, review of the care plan and case closure.
∎ Support Union/Poura Social worker to refer children for different services based on the need.
∎ Develop the service mapping of the working area and disseminate that among the Union/Poura Social Worker and relevant stakeholders.
∎ Provide psychosocialsupport to the children as per need
∎ Provide training on Psychological First Aid, MHPSS foundation skills and referral pathway to Union/Poura Social Workers, establish MHPSS referral pathway, and develop IEC materials.
∎ Identify PSS needs and mental health issues of the children and caregivers within working areas and arrange to logistic support for referring them to relevant experts.
∎ Participate in consultation with community, CBCPC and social servicesoffices
∎ Ensure case documentation is up -to-date and reflective of services provided
∎ Establishing a relationship of trust and respect with community especially with Children.
∎ Gathers data on an ongoing basis for follow up and evaluation of provided services
∎ Making decision and solving problems, Analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
∎ Represent in different meetings, workshop and forums related to case management and MHPSS issues.
∎ Prepare the monthly work plan as well as execute smoothly as per plan.
∎ Prepare all relevant document and progress reports of the project activities.
∎ Any other duties that may be assigned by the management of organization.

Additional Requirements:
∎ Working Experience:Must have experience as Case Manager and Psycho-social Counselor.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s):Working experience in Child Protection and/or Psycho-social wellbeing department in a National/InternationalNGO.
∎ Work experience in Cox's Bazar regarding child protection and psycho-social wellbeing at host community/Rohingya community will give priority in selection process
∎ Able to work under pressure and willing to frequent field visit to working area atCox's Bazar Sadar and Ukhiya Upazilla of Cox's Bazar district
∎ Sound knowledge of case management process and principles, data protection, Child Protection Minimum Standard, child development and counseling skills.
∎ Knowledge in community based child protection system, ability to work under timeline, strong partnership development skills and problem solving skills.
∎ Good writing in English and Bangla.
∎ Must have computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Power Point.
∎ Experience to drive Motorcycle and have valid motorcycle driving licensewill give priority in selection process.
