Educational Requirements:
∎ Bachelor/ Masters in any discipline preferably in Management/ Development Studies/ Environment/ Climate Change/ Business Administration
Experience Requirements:
∎ At least 4 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Overall implementation of capacity building activities related to project outputs
∎ Prepare relevant training and awareness raising materials
∎ Conduct Training of Trainers (ToT) and community sensitization/awareness for user groups on O&M of water technologies and safe use of water resources
∎ Assist and prepare revenant training materials such as module and user guides for capacity building of Climate Action Group (CAG) and other stakeholders.
∎ Conduct capacity building activities of CAG for assessing vulnerability and developing cliate action plan on safe water including capacity needs assessment
∎ Awareness raising and capacity building of local leaders on managing water shortages.
∎ Assist in conducting advocacy events government, nongovernment organizations and engaging private sectors on water security challenges and safe water management
∎ Conduct awareness sessions and training through workshops for women groups, value-chain actors, and WSC/LGI staff on implementation of climate risk reduction strategies
∎ Develop strategic partnership and networks with the relevant stakeholders.
∎ Capacity building of the masons and linkage with water users with market actors for repair and maintenance.
∎ Prepare training and events reports with all training outcome and learning
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 4 years of experience working with development organizations
∎ Knowledge on Climate Change Adaptation and Resilience
∎ Knowledge on gender justice and diversity
∎ Knowledge on community capacity building initiatives
∎ Knowledge on community level safe drinking water technologies
∎ Knowledge on climate-resilient drinking water solutions at household level
∎ Having knowledge on gender, environmental and social compliance issues
∎ Community mobilization and participatory mapping skill
∎ Strong interpersonal communication and mobilization of community skill
∎ Communication and advocacy skill with local and national stakeholders
∎ Having respect for different race, ethnic communities and gender.
∎ Experienced in implementing capacity building initiatives at community level
∎ Coordination capabilities to conduct the training for trainers
