Responsibilities & Context:
  • To contribute implementing UCEP Bangladesh’s values, vision, mission and goals, and development of future strategy documents as needed.

  • To facilitate entrepreneurship development training to the interested graduates and provide linkage for accessing startup capital to become self-employed entrepreneurs.

  • Promote and contribute to ongoing efforts towards gender equity & equality, child/staff protection & safeguard, inclusiveness, accessibility and discrimination free environment in the workplace and operations/activities/plans.

  • In applicable cases, ensure that necessary budget allocation is there and in KPIs these issues are reflected regarding employees under supervision.

  • The Business Development Officer is responsible for facilitating how to gain confidence and move forward in life and supporting the economic empowerment of youth and micro-entrepreneurs.

  • The Officer will be responsible for delivering entrepreneurship development sessions and monitoring the program participants.

  • Facilitate sessions on growth mindset, emotional intelligence, team building, adaptability, networking & collaboration, business management & entrepreneurship development with leadership & healthy role modeling to youth;

  • Establish linkage with local enterprises and entrepreneurs and other relevant stakeholders for employment creation and take feedback from the employers and apprentices regarding training & employment.

  • Assist the Business Management trainees in developing Business Plans and monitor & mentor the trainees during their new business startup.

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities, market trends, and customer needs.

  • Analyze industry developments, competitor activities, and customer preferences to develop strategic plans.

  • Manage projects related to business development initiatives, ensuring timely delivery and successful implementation.

  • Check attendance records, quality of training, beneficiary grievances, progress on the business plan, and future aspirations.

  • Assist in organizing seminars, workshops, training, and other community mobilization programs.

  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and half-yearly progress reports on time.

  • To maintain strict confidentiality of information, documents and other internal and external communications.

  • To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the UCEP authority as and when necessary.
