The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving strategic partnerships, revenue growth, and market expansion for PalmPay Bangladesh. This role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, managing key partners, and executing commercial strategies across merchants, financial institutions, fintech partners, and distribution channels.
The ideal candidate will have strong market knowledge, proven negotiation skills, and hands-on experience in fintech, payments, digital lending, or financial services.
Identify, evaluate, and onboard new business partners including merchants, aggregators, MFIs, banks, PSPs, and strategic ecosystem players.
Drive revenue growth through new partnerships, product collaborations, and market expansion initiatives.
Lead end-to-end partnership discussions including proposal development, commercial negotiation, and contract execution.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.
Develop and execute localized business development strategies aligned with company objectives.
Support the launch of new products, channels, or business models in the Bangladesh market.
Manage and grow relationships with key partners to ensure long-term collaboration and performance.
Monitor partner performance, resolve operational issues, and optimize commercial outcomes.
Act as the primary point of contact between partners and internal teams.
Work closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Risk, Compliance, and Finance teams to ensure smooth execution of partnerships.
Coordinate partner onboarding, system integration, operational readiness, and go-live activities.
Ensure all business activities comply with internal policies and local regulatory requirements.
Track business performance, pipeline progress, and revenue metrics.
Prepare regular reports, forecasts, and presentations for senior management.
Continuously optimize BD processes to improve efficiency and scalability.
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
Master’s degree or professional training is an added advantage.
5–8 years of relevant experience in business development, partnerships, or commercial roles.
Prior experience in fintech, payments, digital lending, MFS, banking, telecom, or financial services is highly preferred.
Proven track record of closing deals and managing strategic partnerships.
Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
Solid understanding of the Bangladesh fintech, payments, or financial services ecosystem.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple partnerships simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment.
Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and business reporting tools
