Educational Requirements:
∎ MSc in Aquaculture from any reputed university. Exceptional candidate with Agriculture degree or BSc degree in Aquaculture will also be considered.
Job Context:
∎ `The Right Kind`, aiming to be an aggregator in the aquaculture sector in Bangladesh is looking for a Business Development Manager (Aquaculture Supply Chain). The position will involve a lot of travel across Bangladesh and be based in primarily Dhaka / Jashore / Khulna / Barisal, and but may change stations in future. Primary requirement will be to onboard multiple private companies to use our platform for their product promotion and distribution, support the team with aquaculture related solutions, coordinate promotion and distribution of products and services in selected districts, and supervise a team of field level territory officers.
∎ Job Location: Primarily Dhaka/Jashore/Khulna/Barisal or any other district in Bangladesh as required. The candidate may have to relocate every quarter in the initial years.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ The candidate will identify potential companies and integrate them in our platform for promotion and possible distribution of their products. Managing the partners is key to the success of this position.
∎ The candidate, in consultation with the partner companies and internal team members will develop promotional messages and channels for the local and national market
∎ The candidate will work as the business focal point and will coordinate demand of products and supervise the distribution of products
∎ A working relationship with fish sector stakeholders namely fish farmers, aqua-input dealers and retailers, government officials and aqua-input companies are essential in this job. Previous rapport with industry influencers will be an advantage.
∎ The candidate will also act as a lead trainer during training events and facilitate training programs, coordination meetings and other field events involving farmers' and retailers' participation
∎ Supporting development of the sales plans and forecast, performance goals and indicators of the field team, and ensuring enough revenue are crucial elements of this position
∎ The incumbent should not see the engagement with us strictly limited to the Job Description, but should try to wholeheartedly support the organization to achieve its objectives.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Significant experience in coordinating demand collection and distribution of products for private input companies. Inventory management would be a plus point.
∎ Ability to network with multiple private companies' senior management as well as sales and marketing team involved in aqua-input (medicine, feed, fertilizer etc.) and onboard the companies as partners into our platform.
∎ Excellent training/public speaking expertise and knowledge on most recent aquaculture best practices.
∎ Field experience of providing aquaculture-related advices to farmers directly would be considered as an advantage.
∎ Previous experience of working for a donor-funded project (not mandatory but will be considered as an advantage)
∎ Experience of working with an e-commerce platform or a good understanding of e-commerce and other digital platforms will be a significant advantage.
∎ Ability to work with minimum supervision, meaning s/he will have to play and find ways to meet target on his/her own
∎ A motorcycle with driving license will be considered as an advantage
∎ Leadership skills to lead a team of territory officers, area managers remotely
∎ Must demonstrate team spirit and positive and professional attitude, and flexibility with working hours
∎ Excellent writing and communications skills in Bengali, and ability to produce quality reports
∎ Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power point), e-mail, internet browsing and handheldsmart devices.
Salary:
∎ Competitive salary package between 50,000 - 70,000 per month will be offered for the deserving candidate. Mobile allowance, travel allowance will be provided as per company policy.
