Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Identify, negotiate, and onboard new vendors to expand and improve product offerings.
∎ Build and maintain strong vendor relationships, ensuring compliance with company policies.
∎ Track and analyze vendor performance to optimize partnerships and drive profitability.
∎ Develop and implement non pharma category growth strategies to enhance sales and customer engagement.
∎ Work with internal teams to optimize product assortment, pricing, and placement.
∎ Identify market trends and opportunities for new product introductions.
∎ Design and deliver training programs for store employees to enhance product knowledge and sales skills.
∎ Create training materials and conduct workshops to improve operational efficiency.
∎ Evaluate training effectiveness and make necessary improvements.
∎ Collaborate with the warehouse and supply chain teams to ensure optimal stock levels.
∎ Monitor inventory movement, sales trends, and demand forecasting.
∎ Ensure smooth coordination of product availability across retail locations.
∎ Supervise and mentor Key Account Managers and Category Growth Managers to drive revenue and category expansion.
∎ Set and monitor performance KPIs for team members and vendors.
∎ Implement strategies to improve team efficiency and overall business performance.
∎ Create Sales and Growth Forecast aligning with company targets.
∎ Make plans for the non pharma categories (health and beauty, food, baby and mom care) to drive the non pharma categories as a whole.
∎ Prepare budgets as per the plans proposed
∎ Job Summary:
∎ We are looking for a proactive and strategic Business Development Manager with 4 to 6 years of experience in retail chain operations, category management, and/or channel development to join our pharmacy retail chain. The ideal candidate will be responsible for vendor negotiations, training development, product and stock coordination, and overseeing Key Account Managers and Category Growth Managers while optimizing vendor performance and category expansion.
