Role Overview

As a Business Development Associate at Priyo Pay & iPay Systems Limited, you will play a critical role in expanding the customer base and market presence of both organizations. You will serve as a key brand ambassador, engaging prospective customers, building strategic relationships, and driving adoption of our payment, banking, remittance, and digital financial products.

This is a highly dynamic, front-line role that requires strong communication skills, commercial awareness, relationship-building capabilities, and a passion for financial technology. You will work closely with the Operations, Customer Experience, Merchant Acquisition, and Compliance teams to ensure a seamless customer journey from initial engagement to active platform usage.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, approach, and onboard new individual customers, freelancers, merchants, SMEs, and corporate clients onto Priyo Pay and iPay platforms.

• Promote and explain the products and services offered by both organizations, including:

  • Cross-border payment solutions

  • International remittance services

  • Payroll and payout solutions

  • Digital payment acceptance solutions

  • Merchant services and collections

  • Marketplace and business banking solutions

• Conduct product demonstrations, presentations, and client meetings both virtually and in person.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with freelancers, e-commerce businesses, exporters, SMEs, merchants, and organizations seeking modern financial solutions.

• Generate and qualify leads through direct outreach, referrals, networking events, partnerships, and field visits.

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual business development targets and KPIs.

• Maintain accurate records of leads, sales activities, customer interactions, and conversion status using CRM and internal tracking systems.

• Gather market intelligence, competitor insights, and customer feedback to support product enhancement and business growth initiatives.

• Collaborate closely with Operations, Compliance, KYC, and Customer Experience teams to ensure smooth and compliant customer onboarding.

• Stay informed about fintech industry trends, regulatory developments, and compliance requirements, including AML and KYC standards.

• Represent Priyo Pay and iPay at industry events, business forums, fintech expos, university programs, and community engagement activities.

• Develop strategic partnerships with organizations, associations, freelancer communities, and business networks to expand market reach.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both Bangla and English.

• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship management abilities.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools.

• Understanding of fintech, digital payments, banking, remittance, or financial services will be considered a strong advantage.

• Prior experience in sales, business development, merchant acquisition, fintech, banking, or customer-facing roles will be preferred.
