Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in MIS, Information Technology or a related discipline.

Experience:

• 2-4 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst in IT, preferably in a life insurance or financial services company.
• Proven experience in requirement gathering, documentation and stakeholder management.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience with specific ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)

Skills & Competencies:

• Basic understanding of business processes and ERP concepts.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to bridge business and technical teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and process-mapping skills.
• Proficiency in tools such as MS Excel, MS Visio, JIRA, Confluence or similar.
• Knowledge of SQL, database concepts, APIs and system integration concepts.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and time Management skills.

Position Overview:

The Business Analyst will act as the primary liaison between business teams and the IT department. The role involves gathering, analyzing and documenting business requirements from various departments, translating them into functional specifications and ensuring that IT delivers effective solutions that align with business needs and regulatory requirements in the life insurance sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage with stakeholders (Underwriting, Claims, Finance, Actuarial, Operations, Sales, Customer Service, Compliance, etc.) to gather and analyze the requirements.

• Translate and document business requirements into functional/technical specifications for automation and implementation.

• Conduct requirement workshops, process mapping and gap analysis to identify business needs.

• Conduct gap analysis between client needs and existing system capabilities.

• Review and validate solutions to ensure they meet business requirements and industry standards.

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), preparing test cases and coordinating with end users.

• Participate in user acceptance testing and help validate implemented solutions.

• Track project progress, risks and issues & provide regular updates to the Management.

• Ensure all IT solutions comply with life insurance regulations, company policies and security standards.

• Provide training, documentation and post-implementation support to business & system users.

• Continuously identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance system efficiency.

• Maintain project documentation and ensure proper version control.

• Learn and apply business analysis methodologies and best practices.
