Job Context:
∎ We`re an apparel design and manufacturing company with 35 years of experiencemaking clothes for retail brands such as Primark, Walmart, Carrefour, H&M, and many other large retailers. We also have plans to design and launch a new brand and clothing collection.
∎ We are looking foremost fora highly creative individual with brand design experience to help us assess and define our new brand and develop its identity.
∎ Ideally this person is also capable at fashion design to translate the brand identity into an apparel collectionand styles that meets customer segment`s target cost and margin requirements.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ You will work directly with senior management on a variety of projects related to new brand design, market & trend analysis, and fashion design.
∎ Guiding senior management to create a new apparel brand identity design
∎ Managing design process from conception through to final styling.
∎ Conducting market research to identify new trends, fabrics and techniques, and seeking design inspiration.
∎ Create and execute product that is brand-appropriate and meets the needed cost and margin requirements.
∎ Collaborating with team members to select seasonal themes, make edits to line, and create new concepts.
∎ Ensuring product is in agreement with business strategy.
∎ Selecting fabrics and trims.
∎ Creating production sketches for development packages.
∎ Collaborating with technical designer to ensure development packages are accurate.
∎ Reviewing product for style and fit during presentation.
∎ Presenting story, mood, color boards, and samples to buyers.
Additional Requirements:
∎ You have 2+ years of brand design experience and possess excellent conceptual, design, and illustrator skills empowering you to quickly come up with new brand and fashion concepts for company executive validation; andyou possess the following skils and knowledge:
∎ Excellent ability tocommunicate ideas and strong presentation skills.
∎ Excellent Adobe Illustrator skills
∎ Fashion design experience (or the desire and ability to learn)
∎ Availability to travel for research and product development.
∎ Ability to do sketches by hand.
∎ Excellent design and conceptual skills.
∎ Excellent sense of style and color.
∎ Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal in English
∎ Ability to meet multiple deadlines
