Now, Desh General Insurance Company Ltd. has amassed more than BDT 240 million with a credit rating of AA- (long term). Desh General Insurance Company (DGIC) has a presence in the strategically important parts of the country which includes 27 branches.
∎ Position Description: It is a mid-level position based at DGIC Branch Office located in anywhere in Bangladesh under the DGIC Head Office. We are looking for our Insurance Company for the different branches as "Branch Manager" to determine potential clients risk factors and to establish the terms of coverage. The successful candidate must be able to apply the proper rules which will result in securing an average proportion of good risks in order to keep average low claims cost and to enable the company to offer insurance at a lower cost.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Managing the branch office of DGIC.
∎ Properly recording of all financial transactions of respective divisional office
∎ Proposal Underwriting Scrutiny
∎ Underwriting decision as per authority limit.
∎ Policy Document issue and distribution as per Company's policy
∎ Enter client's data into IMS/System for preparing documents and necessary adjustments.
∎ Process all bill vouchers before reimbursement
∎ To confirm the timely all sorts of Customer Services
∎ Maintain the register, i.e. Cashbook, Fixed Assets, Inventory, Visitor complaints:
∎ Maintain Insurance records and be responsible for IMS ( Insurance Management System)
∎ Achieve business budget - assets, liabilities and other targets of the branch as set by Head Office.
∎ Oversee all operation and service aspects of the branch, i.e. product promotion, client service, branch administration etc.
∎ Maintain branch service standard and strive to improve it.
∎ Ensure all reporting are done complying with all regulatory compliance and timely manner.
∎ Proper distribution of work among branch employees through well-defined tasks and responsibilities and ensure that right people are placed in the right positions.
∎ Liaison with Head Office for time to time updated status of work progress.
∎ Any other work / responsibility as and when assigned by the supervisor or Management of the company.

Additional Requirements:
∎ 6-10 years' experience in insurance company.
∎ The applicants should have experience in the following area(s):
∎ General Insurance, Insurance Marketing & Sales
∎ Candidates having certificate course or training in general insurance will be given preference.
∎ Sound knowledge on MS Package - Word, Excel, Power Point etc.
∎ Must have customer focused attitude.
∎ Should be dedicated and career focused.
∎ Must have strong analytical, presentation and communication skills.
∎ Should have good Leadership and Team building skills.
