Responsibilities & Context: Golden Harvest Agro Industries Ltd. is a publicly listed company which is one of the pioneers in Frozen Food manufacturing in Bangladesh. The brand is known, both locally and abroad, for its wide range of ready to cook frozen products. Currently, we are looking for experienced, dedicated, honest and hard-working Automobile Engineer / Asst. Manager- Fleet Management to oversee our vehicles and transport operation.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and perform advanced diagnostics and repair work on various vehicle brands, including ASHOK LEYLAND (PARTNER), HINO, EICHER, JMC, focusing on engine, transmission and electrical systems.
- Assist in the execution of both preventive and breakdown maintenance tasks with corrective actions on all fleet vehicles, ensuring work is completed on time and according to safety and operational standards.
- Ensure compliance with maintenance standards and schedules by maintaining comprehensive log sheets, checklists, records and reports on all maintenance activities to ensure consistent automobile service and optimal functioning.
- Assist with route selection and troubleshooting technical issues during vehicle trips to ensure product safety and operational efficiency and Monitor vehicle trips and performance, providing follow-up as necessary to optimize route efficiency and ensure vehicles are operating at full capacity.
- Provide regular updates on maintenance performance to supervisors on a daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis.
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance budgets, analyzing cost variances and identifying trends to ensure maintenance activities remain within budget.
- Monitor and track spare parts usage, preparing requisitions and monthly reports on spare parts consumption of maintenance materials through the ERP system, vehicle-wise usage and forecasting future material requirements to ensuring accurate inventory records and timely replenishment.
- Maintain steady communication (both verbal and written) with stakeholders and officials to address operational challenges and escalations.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean and efficient work environment in all maintenance areas.
- Develop and participate in training programs for drivers and mechanics, enhancing their technical skills, safety awareness, and overall service delivery.
- Any assignments given by the supervisor or management.
