Responsibilities & Context:
- Develop Seasonal Shoe line collection and provide samples on time for shoe line meeting.
- To manage PD sample making, pattern making and test, Arrangement of materials and settle technical issues.
- To coordinate with Factory and overseas suppliers to settle technical problems.
- Provide product guide and material consumption for approved samples for production.
- To do Re-Engineering of samples to match with specific requirements and target price.
- To have a good knowledge of Leather and Synthetic materials, material standards used in Footwear of different categories.
- Define material quality standards for different products and coordinate with Lab to ensure the quality of new Material as per standards.
- To handle making Cutting knives and ensure availability of other equipment is before production.
- Should be aware of new trends, new materials, material prices and material sources.
- Should know of all types of shoe pattern making as per process (Cemented/DIP/PU pouring etc.).
- Should have knowledge in different type of printing for Leather, Synthetic, Knit Uppers etc.
- Ability to lead the Product development team including sample making unit.
- To carry out any other relevant tasks assigned by the authority as and when necessary.
