Job Context

We are looking for a dynamic, competent, and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Legal Affairs to strengthen our Corporate Legal Department. The ideal candidate must possess strong knowledge of land laws, property acquisition, title verification, legal documentation, litigation management, and corporate legal affairs. The incumbent will be responsible for providing legal support across the Group's business operations, coordinating with government authorities, courts, external legal counsels, and the Company's Senior Legal Consultant.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all legal affairs of the Group and provide legal support to the management and business units.

  • Examine, verify, and provide legal opinions on land-related documents, including CS, SA, RS, BS Khatian, deeds, mutation, survey records, land tax receipts, and other ownership documents.

  • Conduct legal due diligence for land acquisition, purchase, lease, transfer, and registration.

  • Coordinate and complete all legal formalities relating to land purchase, registration, mutation, and possession.

  • Liaise with Sub-Registrar Offices, AC Land Offices, Deputy Commissioner's Office, Land Record Offices, RAJUK, City Corporations, Municipalities, and other regulatory authorities.

  • Handle litigation matters by coordinating with courts, external lawyers, and relevant stakeholders to ensure timely follow-up of cases.

  • Maintain regular communication with the Company's Senior Legal Consultant (Senior Lawyer/Barrister) regarding legal opinions, litigation strategies, and complex legal issues.

  • Draft, review, and vet contracts, agreements, MOUs, deeds, notices, affidavits, legal notices, board resolutions, powers of attorney, lease agreements, and other legal documents.

  • Review and negotiate commercial agreements, procurement contracts, service agreements, and vendor contracts to safeguard the Company's interests.

  • Monitor and maintain records of all ongoing legal cases, legal notices, agreements, and statutory documents.

  • Ensure compliance with applicable corporate, labour, land, commercial, and regulatory laws.

  • Represent the Company before government offices and coordinate with regulatory agencies whenever required.

  • Identify legal risks and recommend appropriate preventive measures.

  • Perform any other legal assignments entrusted by the Management.
