Responsibilities & Context:

Strategic Leadership & Planning

  • Formulate and execute production strategies aligned with company goals for efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery.

  • Supervise all production units — cutting, sewing, washing, finishing, and packing — ensuring seamless workflow and coordination.

  • Prepare and monitor monthly and yearly production targets to achieve company KPIs.

  • Collaborate with senior management to forecast capacity and resource requirements.

Production Management

  • Oversee the entire production process to ensure garments are produced efficiently, on schedule, and within quality standards.

  • Monitor line efficiency, productivity, and machine utilization across all factories or units.

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen principles to improve workflow and reduce wastage.

  • Coordinate with merchandising, planning, and quality departments to ensure smooth order execution.

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications and international quality standards.

  • Enforce strict quality control systems at every production stage.

  • Work closely with the QA and Compliance teams to maintain certifications such as WRAP, BSCI, SEDEX, or ISO.

  • Promote a culture of zero defect manufacturing and continuous quality improvement.

Resource & Manpower Management

  • Manage a large workforce including production managers, line chiefs, supervisors, and operators.

  • Plan and allocate manpower effectively across production lines.

  • Identify and implement training and development programs to enhance workforce efficiency and skill.

  • Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.

Production Planning & Coordination

  • Collaborate with planning and merchandising teams to ensure realistic production timelines.

  • Track order status, monitor bottlenecks, and take corrective action to maintain shipment deadlines.

  • Manage capacity planning and optimize factory utilization.

Cost & Efficiency Control

  • Monitor and control production costs, wastage, and overtime.

  • Analyze production data and KPI reports to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Drive process automation and efficiency improvement initiatives.

  • Maintain high productivity while ensuring profitability and product quality.

Machinery, Maintenance & Technology

  • Oversee maintenance schedules and ensure all production machinery is running at optimum efficiency.

  • Recommend new machinery, automation, or digital systems (e.g., ERP, IE tools) to enhance performance.

  • Stay updated with the latest RMG production technologies and global trends.

Communication & Reporting

  • Maintain regular communication with top management regarding production status, challenges, and strategic improvements.

  • Prepare and present weekly and monthly production performance reports.

  • Liaise with buyers or buying houses for production-related queries or approvals when required.

Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)

  • Ensure compliance with all safety, labor law, and environmental requirements.

  • Foster a safe, clean, and ethical work environment throughout the factory.

  • Promote sustainability and energy-saving initiatives within production operations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing improvement projects.

  • Benchmark factory performance against industry standards and competitors.

  • Encourage innovation in product and process development.
