∎ iDE is looking for a dedicated Associate Officer for the Bamboo for Climate Action (B4CA) Project. This role requires an energetic and detail-oriented individual who can support multiple related tasks to support the field implementation of project activities.
∎ This Associate Officer (AO) for the B4CA (Bamboo for Climate Action) Project will play the supporting role- internally with the Senior Coordinator-Market System and Capacity Development and externally with the field-level staff of the CNRS, private sector partners, and other relevant stakeholders at Cox`s Bazar. AO will assume responsibility for day-to-day monitoring of the activities of the joint venture agreement (JVA) partners, data collection, reporting the learning and observing the -MSD and JVA activities. This position will be directly responsible for field implementation of the project activities and harvesting the result from the field with the support of and coordination with the B4CA team and JVA partners. He/she will have to ensure regular data flow from the field, harvest learning of the field, develop a monitoring framework to monitor the activities of the JVA partners for smooth field implementation, monitor project progress monitoring, and propose changes required for quality implementation. The AO must also be competent and able to support the private sector partners for quality project implementation and must be able to play a support role in the project management cycle.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The responsibilities of the Associate Officer will include but are not limited to the descriptions below-
∎ MONITORING AND EVALUATION Day-to-day monitoring of the activities of the (JVA) partners: Track the progress of JVA partners' activities against established milestones and objectives. Identify any potential delays or risks to project success and communicate them to the Program Officer. Provide regular updates on the progress of JVA partners' activities to the B4CA team and other stakeholders.
∎ Data collection and reporting: Support developing and implementing data collection tools and procedures to gather information on project activities, outputs, and outcomes. Collect data from various sources, including field staff, JVA partners, and internal systems-support to analyze and interpret data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. Assist in preparing reports on project progress, findings, and lessons learned.
∎ Identifying and proposing changes for quality implementation: Continuously monitor project implementation to ensure quality and adherence to agreed-upon standards. Identify areas where project activities need to meet expectations or catch up to objectives. Propose changes to project plans or activities to improve quality and ensure successful implementation.
∎ Supporting private sector partners for quality project implementation: Provide technical assistance and guidance to private sector partners on project implementation methodologies and best practices. Collaborate with private sector partners to identify and address any challenges or issues that may arise during project implementation. Monitor the performance of private sector partners and provide feedback to ensure they meet project expectations
∎ SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT
∎ Work with the Program Officer and technical Specialist-MEARL to develop and implement project monitoring and evaluation systems.
∎ Collect and analyse project data to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
∎ Support to prepare reports on project progress and findings. Support to present project findings to stakeholders.
∎ REPORTING AND SUBMISSIONS
∎ Report on the data collected from various sources.
∎ Supporting in preparing reports on project progress and findings.
∎ Presenting project findings to the local level stakeholders.
∎ Identify trends and patterns in data and make recommendations for project improvement
∎ BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
∎ Identify new business opportunities based on the field learning.
∎ Build and maintain relationships with potential clients and partners and manage client relationships locally.
∎ SUPPORT, SUPERVISOR, AND STAFF DEVELOPMENT
∎ Provide administrative and logistical support to arrange events (FGD, Workshop, Training, etc.) at the project area and to field visits of the Dhaka-based project staff.
∎ Assist in conducting training need assessment (TNA) for the MSMEs, entrepreneurs and CNRS staff.
∎ Assist in delivering the capacity development programs.
∎ Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of capacity development programs.

Additional Requirements:
∎ WORK EXPERIENCE
∎ One year of working experience in Data collection, market system development, or other relevant fields is preferable, but potential freshers can apply.
∎ Familiarity and experience with project management and implementation
∎ Considerable understanding and knowledge of rural markets and rural service provision
∎ Previous experience in working with the private sector is preferable
∎ Experience in business planning
∎ Adequate knowledge of project finance
∎ Relevant understanding of the technical, social, and other constraints in the development field

∎ Ability to drive a motorbike with a valid driving license (Mandatory)
∎ People who can speak the local dialects of Cox's Bazar area will get priority.
∎ Ability to travel and undertake fieldwork in rural contexts
∎ Written and oral communication skills in English, including the ability to present coherent and convincing messages to different audiences
