We are a world leader in making markets work for the poor as well as the longest established market development specialist NGO in Bangladesh. iDE believes that markets can be a powerful force for improving smallholder prosperity by creating income and livelihood opportunities for poor rural households. iDE Bangladesh currently has eight projects in Agricultural Markets, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), and Access to Finance with a focus on women`s economic empowerment and climate-smart technologies.
∎ The Associate Director - Programs is responsible for the high-quality implementation, management, supervision and evaluation of an assigned grouping of iDE Bangladesh projects/consulting/programs functions, with an emphasis on a role of coordination and support to related Project Managers/Team Leaders in accordance with the international and national standards set out by iDE. As a member of the senior management team, the Associate Director - Programs participates in strategic planning and budgeting initiatives in addition to problem solving. S/he works within the guidelines, policies and mission of iDE and will be accountable and responsible for specific projects as assigned. S/he will also be responsible for strategic leadership in the design and delivery of assigned projects in accordance with the mission and the goals of the organization. S/he will be responsible for providing broad oversight on management functions to related Project Managers/Team Leaders and their project teams, with an emphasis on a peer-to-peer support modality. Additionally, the Associate Director - Programs will support business development, strategic communications and brand development, organizational capacity building, and stakeholder management. This will require close coordination with the Leadership Team and the Senior Management Team, as well as with the Business Development and Operations Unit (BD/Ops) and the Global Initiatives (GI) Unit at iDE Head Office
