∎ Strong understanding of policy processes and experience working with government agencies, NGOs, and other stakeholders, including various advocacy tools, methods, and approaches.
∎ Leadership role in at least one successful policy formulation or revision process involving a national government agency in human development.
∎ Leadership role in the preparation of at least two impactful analytical works.
∎ Demonstrable network with government agencies, NGOs, academia, and media.
∎ Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
∎ Masters degree in Public Policy, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.

Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Lead and manage policy advocacy initiatives by developing and implementing strategies that align with organisational goals and objectives.
∎ Drive Thought Leadership & Visibility for BRAC’s Advocacy Work.
∎ Strengthen stakeholder engagement by fostering and maintaining partnerships with government agencies, policymakers, and advocacy groups to influence policy decisions and debates.
∎ Collaborate with different BRAC programmes to develop and implement policy advocacy strategies.
∎ Commission and oversee research and evidence generation to support advocacy efforts, ensuring findings effectively inform policy discussions and decision-making.
∎ Enhance BRAC’s engagement with multilateral organisations by building strategic relationships to align advocacy efforts.
∎ Lead Public-Private Partnership (PPP) Initiatives to facilitate resource mobilization, and advocate for enabling policy frameworks.
∎ Monitor, evaluate, and report on advocacy outcomes to assess impact and continuously refine advocacy. strategies.
∎ Implement the safeguarding policy to establish a safeguarding culture across all levels of the programme. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding to establish a safe working environment.
∎ Responsible for ensuring team members are appropriately trained supported and have access to resources regarding issues that are identified and actioned in accordance with the safeguarding policy and procedure.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, and encourage others to do so.
∎ The Associate Director will play a pivotal role in advancing BRAC’s policy advocacy, partnerships, and resource mobilization efforts. S/he will lead BRAC’s policy advocacy initiatives to drive transformative societal impact by identifying key priorities, shaping advocacy strategies, crafting influential policy briefs, and representing BRAC in relevant forums. S/he will commission and oversee research and evidence-generation efforts, ensuring findings are effectively presented to influence policymakers and stakeholders. Additionally, the Associate Director will support BRAC units in strengthening partnerships with multilateral organizations, engaging in strategic discussions and negotiations as needed. Lastly, s/he will lead BRAC’s efforts to leverage Public-Private Partnerships (PPP) as a model for resource and risk-sharing with the government to enhance social service delivery for disadvantaged communities.
