Experience:
Bachelors/Bsc in Fisheries/Aquaculture or any other related subject from any UGC approved university or Institute
Sound academic knowledge in relevant subject
Knowledge on livelihood, business and economic development, monitoring and evaluation
Show adeptness in report writing and presentation skills.
Good understanding on organizational safety and safeguarding issues.

Assistant Technical Specialist (Fisheries) will have the overall implementation responsibility of Fisheries intervention of TNF funded project at Bhasan Char (BC). He will ensure technical and managerial supervision and support to contribute to increase productivity, and implement project activities in the field according to plan and proposal. This position will support Program Manager in project reviews, activity planning, staff supervision, budgeting and coordination with government and other agencies to ensure communities receive appropriate level of services.
Provide technical support to implement the plan
Follow-up the livelihood support activities regularly for effective implementation of the project activities.
Provide supportive supervision to subordinates and guide her/him in implementing the project activities.
Facilitate market linkages to create opportunities for beneficiaries to access fish businesses
Coordinate with agro enterprises and maintain communication with other sectors to ensure synergy and better result of the project
Prepare procurement plan, keep tracking on the budget spending and ensure agro-inputs are reached to the project beneficiaries for quality implementation of the project.
Facilitate donor visit, liaison with stakeholders and represent stakeholders' coordination meeting for implementation of the project.
Showcase the best practices of livelihoods activities and disseminate the best technologies among the project beneficiaries and neighboring women beneficiaries for income generation.
Collaborate and coordinate with the project support services such for ensuring smooth support of project activities.
Prepare project report as required and coordinate with the project stakeholders for successful implementation of the project activities.
Attend Meeting, provide necessary report and monitoring the field staff. Producing and maintaining records of the beneficiaries as a member of the team, work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure community mobilization and referral.
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
