The Assistant Technical Specialist – Capacity Building provides technical leadership in the design, development, and implementation of capacity building systems under the BRAC–LEGO strategic partnership. The role ensures high-quality, inclusive, and contextually relevant training and learning approaches to strengthen staff capacity in delivering play-based Early Childhood Development (ECD), caregiver engagement, inclusion (SEND), and MHPSS interventions
Lead the technical design and development of training frameworks, modules, manuals, and learning tools aligned with programme objectives
Support implementation of capacity building strategies across programme sites, ensuring quality and consistency
Provide technical guidance and supervision to Project Officers on training delivery and capacity strengthening activities
Develop training content on key thematic areas including play-based learning, responsive caregiving, inclusion (SEND), safeguarding, and MHPSS
Integrate adult learning principles, participatory approaches, and experiential methodologies into training design and delivery
Support planning and facilitation of Training of Trainers (ToT), refresher trainings, orientations, and on-the-job coaching
Strengthen continuous professional development systems including mentoring, coaching, and supportive supervision
Collaborate with MERL, Materials Development, QA, and technical teams to align training with programme design and field needs
Review and validate training materials to ensure quality, relevance, and alignment with programme standards
Monitor effectiveness of training interventions through assessments, feedback, and performance tracking
Incorporate learning from field implementation, monitoring findings, and programme reviews into training improvements
Support capacity strengthening of partners and community-based facilitators where applicable
Coordinate with Head Office technical teams and external experts for quality assurance and innovation in training
Ensure all capacity building initiatives are inclusive and accessible for diverse learning needs
Maintain proper documentation of training materials, reports, and capacity building activities
Safeguarding
Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
