Job Context:
∎ Type of Contract: Fixed Term Contract up to 31 August 2023
∎ Job Purpose: S/he will be responsible for capacity building of household level structures to create an enabling environment for adoption of the recommended maternal, infant and young child nutrition practices, for improved nutrition of pregnant and lactating women and children under 2 years.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Train Health and Nutrition Promoters on Nutrition and the Mother Care Group approach, for promotion of recommended nutrition practices at household level
∎ Sensitize and engage husbands and mothers in law of pregnant and lactating women on nutrition using social and behaviour change communication methods
∎ Guide Health and Nutrition Promoters to select project beneficiaries with respect and impartiality, and ensuring the required coverage of the project areas.
∎ Form groups of husbands and mothers in law of Lead Mothers for social and behaviour change communication on nutrition of mothers and children
∎ Conduct quarterly sessions with husbands and mothers in law of Lead Mothers and agree on key actions for each of them to adopt for improved mother and child nutrition in their own homes
∎ Conduct home visits for husbands and mothers in law of lead mothers to follow up the personal commitments to behaviour change in their own homes
∎ Support the development of a pictorial book of innovative nutritious meals recipes for maternal, infant and young child nutrition, through participatory cooking sessions
∎ Build capacity of Health and Nutrition Promoters to deliver quality cascading sessions, as per the Mother Care Group approach, on maternal, infant and young child nutrition, participatory cooking sessions and home gardens
∎ Distribute project materials to target beneficiaries, and promote the utilization as per project design, to achieve project objectives
∎ Conduct on the job coaching to the Health and Nutrition Promoters to maintain high quality and accountability to beneficiaries.
∎ Support home gardening and other livelihood activities in responsible areas.
∎ Conduct community sensitization meetings with leaders and influential persons to ensure buy in and beneficiaries trust and willingness to participate in the project
∎ Monitor performance of Health and Nutrition Promoters in the field and ensure timely performance development reviews for each of them.
∎ Support MEAL team in data collection for surveys and evaluations.
∎ Share weekly / Monthly field activities updates with the Project Officer.
∎ Undertake other related duties as may reasonably be assigned by the Project Manager or the line manager.
∎ Accountability:
∎ In line with Concern's commitments under the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS):
∎ Actively promote meaningful community participation and consultation at all stages of the project cycle (planning, implementation, M&E);
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that the Complaints and Response Mechanism (CRM) is functional and accessible, that feedback and complaints are welcomed and addressed;
∎ Work with relevant colleagues to ensure that information about CRM, safeguarding and expected staff behaviour is disseminated among programme participants and communities.

Additional Requirements:
∎ One year work experience in Nutrition, Public Health, Agriculture, Livelihood or related field
∎ Experience in community nutrition, IYCF and/or mother care groups is required
∎ Good knowledge on Rohingya refugee context is required
∎ Ability to communicate fluently in Rohingya language or Chittagonian is required
∎ Experience working with older people over 60 years would be an advantage

Salary: Tk. 38000 (Monthly)
