Educational Requirements:
∎ BA/BSc/MSc in Nutrition and Food science or any other relevant subject.
Experience Requirements:

Job Responsibilities:
∎ Responsible to manage and oversee community health and Nutrition activities.
∎ Provide training to the volunteers on health and nutrition community activities
∎ Provide regular supportive supervision to CHVs to enable them to perform their duties effectively
∎ Responsible to oversee compiling and collecting of relevant community health on a weekly and monthly basis.
∎ Act as a link between PHC/HP and community structures such as community leaders, volunteers, beneficiaries and beneficiary groups
∎ Support planning for Health and nutrition activities at community level in line with national/local guidelines
∎ Conduct detailed mapping of the site catchment areas
∎ Promote adoption of good health and nutrition practices and behavior learnt at community and household level.
∎ Identify and reporting challenges faced in implementation for timely resolution.
∎ Coordinate the dissemination of nutrition promotional messages in the targeted community
∎ Monitor and supervise data collection by volunteers and ensuring accuracy and completeness
∎ Maintain open and professional relations with team members, promoting a strong team spirit and provide guidance to enable staff to successfully perform in their positions.
∎ Provide support and mentorship and providing on-the-job training where needed.
∎ Supervise community health Workers / volunteers including monitoring attendance, arranging schedules and areas of work
∎ With support of relevant health manager facilitate meetings with Community Health Volunteers for feedback and trouble shooting
∎ Provide daily oversite and supervision to ensure the community health activities are being carried out with the highest quality
∎ Meet with beneficiaries to get feedback on activities, needs, and improve ways of working
∎ Meet with community leaders to ensure support for the project and better uptake of the community to the health services
∎ Develop and maintain effective working relationships with local communities and other implementing partners.
∎ Review, compile and submit reports as required by PHC/HP
∎ Maintain liaising with community leaders and other external parties as required to maintain/enhance the security environment for the health team.
∎ Other duties as assigned by the supervisor to enable and develop the health team.
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment, and exploitation to achieve the programme's goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance, and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
