Bachelor’s in Environmental Science / Chemical Engineering / Business Administration.

• 5+ years in waste or production management.

• Certification: Waste Management Specialist (Bangladesh Green Building Council) preferred.

Purpose Of The Position
Drive reduction of production waste, optimize scrap recovery value, and ensure compliant disposal of hazardous waste to lower cost and environmental risk.

Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities

• Measure daily production waste by category (fabric, plastic, metal, chemical).

• Implement root cause analysis for any waste spike above target.

• Negotiate highest recovery value for recyclable scrap with authorized buyers.

• Ensure hazardous waste (oil, chemical containers, ETP sludge) is disposed of via a DoE-approved vendor.

• Maintain waste manifest, weight slip, and sale records for audit.

• Train production team on waste segregation at source.

• Reduce landfill-bound waste by identifying reuse opportunities.

• Prepare a monthly wastage report with financial impact (savings vs cost).

• Coordinate with ETP team for sludge drying and weight reduction.

• Benchmark wastage % against industry best in Bangladesh.
