Job Responsibilities:
∎ Create plans (Monthly, weekly, daily), forecasts and schedules relating to materials required to meet operational requirement
∎ Liaise with Sales, SCM, Warehouse and Production functions for effective planning of customer demands
∎ Monitor data input to any Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system or IT system for accuracy and resolve any issues as required
∎ Review data integrity for the Bill of Materials (BOM), evaluate usage and cost of materials in relation to actual build
∎ Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels and track inventory trends.
∎ Carry out routine inventory control audits and support inventory checks to validate accuracy
∎ Create inventory reports and updates to others in the organization
∎ Work with Supply Chain Management, Production Management, Sales function and Warehouse for material planning issues, update material schedules and ensure supporting MRP systems reflect forecast and demand for products
∎ Utilize knowledge and research methods to benchmark materials planning activities and to drive best practice results
∎ Work towards and support a culture of continuous improvement and work to make business and department improvements wherever possible
∎ Participate in regular planning reviews and prepare data in line with changes
∎ Review data integrity for the Bill of Materials (BOM), evaluate usage and cost of materials in relation to actual build Ensure that material scheduling strategy and processes are in place and work effectively in order to ensure material supply meets production requirements with minimum stock levels, whilst optimizing costs
∎ Take ownership of material planning issues that arise, including over or under delivery and take any follow up actions especially in the event of material shortages that affect production.
∎ Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to forecast, plan and facilitate on-time materials to the production line as and when required, avoiding disruption to production
∎ Work with cross functional teams to deliver effective solutions
∎ Develop and maintain good relationships with SCM, Sales, Production and Warehouse team to ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time
∎ Design, develop and implement processes and work with suppliers on continuous improvement initiatives
∎ Support assessment and sourcing of suppliers in conjunction with members of the Production and New Product development team
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age 30 to 37 years
∎ Only males are allowed to apply
∎ Strong IT systems knowledge and skills including advanced Excel skills
∎ Knowledge and experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar system (SAP/ Oracle)
∎ Knowledge of lean techniques may be advantageous
∎ Good communicator with the ability to form and maintain good relationships internally and externally
∎ Ability to undertake complex analysis to create information and to interpret data and trends
∎ Strong interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills
∎ Commercial and financial awareness, with a full understanding of the impact of failure with regards to business costs, production targets and fulfillment of customer orders
∎ Results orientated and organized with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines
∎ Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills
