Skills Required:
Additional Requirements:
Relevant experience in import operations with specific exposure to the polymer industry.
Strong knowledge of international trade, shipping, customs, and banking formalities.
Excellent negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Responsibilities & Context:
Establish and maintain effective coordination with international suppliers to ensure the timely procurement and import of capital machinery, spares, and raw materials.
Liaise with customs, C&F agents, banks, insurance companies, and transport providers to facilitate smooth import operations.
Prepare, review, and verify commercial documents for import and shipping activities.
Maintain accurate records of import-related documents, bills, costs, and relevant compliance paperwork.
Prepare and present accurate statements and analytical reports to facilitate import tracking, ensuring efficiency and smooth functioning of the plants.
Monitor shipping schedules, logistics processes, and resolve issues to avoid delays.
Ensure adherence to organizational and regulatory compliance for all import-related activities.
