Job Context
We are seeking a competent and result-oriented professional to lead our logistics, distribution, and fleet maintenance operations, ensuring efficient movement of goods, timely delivery, optimized transportation cost, and smooth coordination among internal departments.
Job Responsibilities
Take full responsibility for overall activities of Logistics, Distribution, and Maintenance Department.
Optimize inventory through proper planning and manage logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer service functions.
Oversee daily inbound and outbound transportation activities ensuring efficient distribution and timely delivery of products.
Coordinate with Sales and Manufacturing departments regarding production schedules, storage planning, delivery plans, and pending deliveries.
Develop and implement logistics and distribution strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
Monitor delivery quality, quantity, lead times, transportation cost, and maintenance expenses.
Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation/logistics service providers ensuring cost-effective and secure terms.
Develop and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all transport vehicles.
Maintain records of vehicle maintenance, repairs, inspections, and operational costs.
Prepare logistics/distribution/fleet-related reports and submit to management on time.
Perform any other tasks assigned by management as and when required.
