Job Context:
∎ Jalal Ahmed Spinning Mills Ltd. is seeking a candidate to lead a team of Oracle Developers with experience on Oracle Forms, Reports and Oracle Application Express to join our rapidly growing ERP software. The Oracle resources will understand the current system and work with multiple departments to gather, documentation and understand business requirements, offering recommendations to potential transition of the database to another operating platform or off-theshelf software.
∎ The candidates will work in a small team leading all aspects of the Oracle implementation.
∎ Job Type: Full-time & On-site (Jalal Ahmed Spinning Mills Ltd. Lalpur, Fatullah).
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Develop applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX)
∎ Undertake an Entity Relationship Diagram for the Oracle Database comprising a conceptual data model as well as a more granular logical data model, including operational and transactional data entities.
∎ Assess the current Oracle database capabilities, taking into account existing, off-the-shelf software capable of performing the various business functions supported by the database
∎ Participate in or provides input to the logical data modeling process in order to ensure that business requirements are translated into a valid database design.
∎ Use logical data models to create and maintain physical database designs which meet identified business needs and provide adequate safeguards for security and integrity.
∎ Ensure databases provide required functionality to meet identified business needs.
∎ Develop strategies for optimizing performance through improved design
∎ Collaborate with developers and consumers of the data to implement views and procedures that are optimized for consumption.
∎ Participate in database problem resolution support based on required business service levels.
∎ Consult with customers, application areas, and other technical and support areas on database-related topics.
∎ Consult with customers, systems areas, support personnel and software vendors to determine requirements and resolve technology issues.
∎ Monitors and reports project status to appropriate individuals. Identifies issues which may impact project results and brings them to the attention of the appropriate people.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Must be familiar with Ubuntu and have working experience with it at least 5 years.
∎ Must have experience with Oracle DB 12c and Oracle APEX technology at least 5 years.
∎ Must be able to elicit business requirements from business users, develop functional requirements based on the business requirements
∎ Must have a thorough understanding of and experience working with relational databases, including ability to read, create and modify database documentation based on user requirements.
∎ Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
∎ Must have strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
∎ Must be creative and have the ability to understand and work with complex and abstract concepts.
∎ Must have experience with client-facing projects and working with end users.
∎ Must have experience with fast-paced projects with matrix teams.
∎ Experience with JavaScript and CSS.
