Educational Requirements:
∎ Master degree in Accounting/Finance/MBA Major in Accounting/Finance/Masters of Professional Accounting is preferable. Chartered Accountancy Course Completed (CA-CC)/Partial Professional qualifications will be given additional preference.
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Assist to prepare the monthly/quarterly/annual financial report accurately and on timely manner to meet organizational requirement as well as prepare donor financial report.
∎ Assist to prepare project budget; ensure budgetary control, analyze budgets, prepare monthly Budget vs Actual report, and make recommendations to the supervisor, if any deviation. Assist to modifying donor budget as well.
∎ Prepare the match fund/shared cost budget as per donor requirement.
∎ Track JAAGO operational expenses and prepare fund requirement for implement the program activities.
∎ Prepare monthly bank and cash reconciliation statement as well as other monthly schedules accompanying with the monthly financial report.
∎ Keep updated record of staff provident funds and arrange to transfer them to respective bank account as and when required.
∎ Prepare fund request/invoices for the donor funded projects and ensure to submit to donor on time.
∎ Monitor the expenditures and ensure that program funds are utilized appropriately.
∎ Assist to prepare the financial statements required by audit team are furnished in time
∎ Act as per Audit Action Lists and corrective measures are taken within stipulated time.
∎ Ensure NGOAB audit and donor audit on time as necessary.
∎ Payment vouchers are checked and processed in time with complying corporate and statutory requirement as well as ensures effective filing of them.
∎ Ensure charging following approved budget and COA and also responsible for entering financial data to Zoho books.
∎ Checking sub-office’s vouchers and ensure record to the Zoho Book as and when necessary
∎ Ensure deduction source Taxes and deposit to Govt. treasure per regulations; Prepare tax and VAT deduction certificate and delivery to the concern.
∎ Ensure to prepare withholding tax and VAT return and submission to the govt. per regulations.
∎ Accomplish other assignments needed for day to day operation and as delegated by the supervisor.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Age at least 27 years
∎ Minimum 4 years of relevant experience to work in finance department at Development sector or INGOs; Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) are essential; Sound knowledge on VAT and Tax regulations
